I appreciate that Ralekus, and thank you for taking the time to read my posts all the way through! I’ve replied to a few cheesy one liners in case I wasn’t clear on my stance, but it is both an exhausting and never ending battle

My Overall Thoughts – Contrary to popular belief, I believe Augmentation is actually doing decently well in Rated Arenas. I do believe there are some CRITICAL Quality of Life Changes (Which I will list below) that could be made that would make the spec’s rotation flow much better in arena combat. Popular opinion is that because Aug’s representation is low, that automatically means a spec is underperforming, which is just not true. Subtlety rogue pre-tomorrow nerfs is a great example of this. I will also leave some suggested buffs that go beyond Quality of Life, to please the crowd that say Augmentation is not performing well in Arena.
Very important to read carefully and completely

The tooltip posted here is in a PvE environment. If you enter an arena match or attack the PvP Dummy in Valdrakken, it will update and read Your damage done is increased by 33%.

attack the PvP Dummy in Valdrakken
that’s what i did

Dropping the 1.33 down to 1.18 and increasing the base to 1.15 via buff
1.15x1.18=1.357. 135.7%. What you need to do is go okay 1.15x?=1.33, which will get you 15.6% that ebon might would need to be reduced to, a reduction of 17.4%.That’s taking your word that ebon might is 33%.
Appreciate you taking the time to do the math for this, for any developers / tuners that may read through this post. And to reiterate, Ebon Might increasing personal damage by 33% is too large of a disparity for a 27-30 second cooldown.
This spell is up 50-67% of each arena match. Making Ebon Might a 15% (15.6%) personal damage increase nerfed from 33% and increasing our baseline damage by 18% (17.4%) so that our offensive rotation feels a little more meaningful would help improve the flow of the rotation, but not render Ebon Might useless either. 15% personal damage is a lot, and between Ebon Might, Shifting Sands, Prescience we still give our teammates 15-20% additional damage during Ebon Might setups, so the spell will still be top priority.

that’s what i did
Are any addons restricting this tooltip update? I literally just did as well to make sure I wasn’t going crazy, and it reads 33% for me when engaged in PvP Combat
it’s not just the tooltip not updating, its actually acting as 22% for whatever reason. probably just another issue with the pvp target dummies.

Interesting point, strange though that the tooltip is updating for me in PvP combat. Makes me wonder if you have war mode enabled? And if it is actually behaving as a 22% increase instead of 33% in an Arena environment?
It does it warmode on and warmode off. probably has to do with the other people nearby getting buffed not being in pvp combat or something. Pretty sure its just an issue with the target dummy
Hello, I wanted to take some time to give my thoughts on the State of Augmentation in PvP in Patch 10.2.
Change richocheting pyroclast to be 15% per target struck down from 30
Ricocheting pyroclast should’ve been a pure aoe talent; damage per additional target struck

should’ve been
What does it even do now?
increases eruption damage by 30% per target struck, up to 150%. so against 1 guy its a flat 30% eruption damage increase. Eruption damage against 2+ is spready evenly so it’s less of a threat as it isn’t going to pop 1 guy for 300k.
Okay, yeah, that’s what I thought, and I guess that the dmg on details or whatever is just split when it is spread across multiple targets. Was wondering what it did vs petspam specs.

Would love to hear your sincere thoughts, but I don’t think we will because of your constant sarcasm.
I would be shocked if you think Aug needs brought down and is over performing. Especially being that you have been strictly sarcastic in your other posts and have just brought toxicity here, originally stemming from your lack of reading one of the first 3 paragraphs I wrote

i read your post
i even read the thing you quoted that you think i didn’t read
i didn’t make that reply because i thought or think you’re here to say aug is in need of buffs
i made that post because aug is easily one of the worst things that ever happened to this game and it seems outside of maybe 2 total weirdos that enjoy the spec for what it is, aug will exist in a graveyard as long as it’s not so overpowered complete morons backpeddle their way over 2700 on accident playing it

i genuinely believe that the rico pyro talent is a massive design L
aug was set up in a way that most tank specs are
auto beat cleaves then struggle into other things
just bad design, i’d rather see the damage moved out of both eruption and upheaval and moved into something more direct

2 Recommended Quality of Life Changes:
- Extend the duration of the new Tier 4 Set Trembling Earth Buff from 15 seconds to 30 seconds in PvP. – In order to build the Fissures from Trembling Earth Buff, we must press lots of Prescience. The problem with that is its on the GCD with 2 charges and a 12 second cooldown, it feels that almost 15% of all GCDs we spend are going to Prescience, which a set of Fissures can expire twice over before the CD of ebon might, and very easily expire with crowd control, interrupts, and immunities like grounding totem

- Shifting some personal damage out of Ebon Might and into our baseline damage. – Right now, Augmentation has a HUGE Disparity between personal damage dealt with Ebon Might, and without Ebon Might. Ebon Might in Arena increases our entire damage output by 33% currently. I believe increasing all Augmentation Evoker baseline damage by 18%, and to nerf Ebon Might personal damage to 15% down from 33% is a great way to remedy this disparity.
Posting these here to reiterate my main points since this topic has bounced around everywhere (some trolls that want it to be bad because they don’t like the spec, which is just outright toxic philosophy).
I want these 2 Quality of Life Changes that do not effect our burst throughput whatsoever. These proposed QoL Changes are strictly to improve the rotation and playstyle in PvP.

i think it’s a more toxic philosophy to want things like augmentation to exist in the first place so we should just agree that im right
With all due respect you proved you are wrong. You are commenting on the “State of Augmentation in 10.2 PvP” being sarcastic and demanding Augmentation to “not exist”.
On top of that, you’re ironic commenting this on elemental shaman, as the spec has a lot of similarities people do not enjoy, utility promoting long dampening games and slowing the game down for everyone else. I could be clamoring to have Ele removed from the games on Elemental Shaman Forums, but I don’t, because the philosophy to delete a spec is objectively wrong, and I’m not trying to be ironic/hypocritical.
You basically conceded that you have nothing to offer here. I will not be replying to you anymore. Just go worry about Ele Shaman or troll people elsewhere

Much like tank specs, the answer is “yes” to the “Everyone else doesn’t want it to exist” pool.

overpowered complete morons backpeddle their way over 2700 on accident playing it

2 of which I got 2640 rating in 3v3 arena on
Checks OPs history, oof this one is gonna hurt.
