Hey guys looking for solid info for stat priority for my unholy dk mostly running dungeons mythic+
For mythic dungeons you will be focusing:
Haste > Mastery > Crit > Verse
For raiding, it would be:
Haste > Crit > Verse > Mastery
Strength and weapon damage almost always come before all of these.
Thank you so much
Even in M+ you may want to focus on Haste and Crit first. This because UH already have a very good AOE damage output, and Haste/Mas is for AOE situation only. I’m currently running 32% Haste/20%Crit/7% Vers/40% Mast. That’s my single target build, but also if you play it properly, you can also deal a substantial AOE.
I also have an AOE build, though i rarely use it. I have 29% Haste/ 17% Crit/ 64% Mast/ 3% Vers on that.
I thought haste cap was 20% thats what someone told me
Its a soft cap, not a hard one. You can build as much haste as you can get your hands on and it will still add up. But after 20% it starts taking more haste points to increase the percentage bonus, becoming less valuable overall. For most classes, it becomes more beneficial to start building other stats after your haste hits 20%, but for rogues, dps dks, and ret pallies, its still our favored stat for quite a bit. But once you reach around 25% haste and crit, you really should start building other stats.
Thank you for friendly replies also nice to see helpful people.
You need the same amount of haste points for every percentage unit increase, even at 20%+. Haste will, much like the other stats, continuously decrease in value the more you have of it. There’s no magic number like legion and it heavily depends on essences, traits and gear.
There’s as many different answers to stat priority as there are websites that talk about it. Bout the only thing that they agree on is that versatility definitely is not #1 priority.
Im not a M+ god, but i feel like stacking Haste/Mastery & ignoring Crit is a mistake, because Unholy AOE & therefore Mastery only shines when you pull heaps of mobs, honestly i rarely see that & other DK’s i know rarely get to AOE more than 7+ monsters consistently on +10 keys, so i think overall Crit/Haste is better.
You don’t need a giga pull for the Unholy to shine. They’re still doing a really great jobs even with 5-6+ mobs. It’s about your rotation and timing your CDs. I was able to pull 250k-300k+ aoe on 6 mobs and consistently 600-650k+ on 10+ mobs with only 40% Mastery. The reason you want to focus on Haste/Crit is because more higher the key, the more single target damage is needed.
