So, I use Pawn as my go-to add on for stat priorities and I just updated after like 2 months of not doing it and my stat priorities for Discipline changed a lot. Before it leaned heavily towards Haste and Versatility/Critical Strike, now Haste seems to be worst stat while Crit and Versa are the top ones (with Mastery being not too far behind). Is this correct? I know stats are very subjective but I’m just so surprised since now I have to change like ALL my gear because I was stacking a lot of Haste (around 23-25% if you must know) If you need any more info don’t hesitate to ask.
It might just because you’ve hit the haste breakpoint and now its no longer valuable to stack vs the other stats it might change if your haste gets lower for crit or mastery. Stat weights aren’t always accurate.
Pawn sucks… I don’t know why that add on suggests random things.
Maybe It’s good for DPS but not healers.
Haste is bis until 27-30%…then you hit diminishing return.
Mastery is second best.
SS build.
I’m seriously thinking to stop using Pawn, it was so nice having a casual way of knowing if an item was an upgrade and stuff because I’m not good with numbers and sims and all that but I’d rather relay on guides and my own instinct than an add on everyone hates lol
first of all, using sims as a HEALER is completely stupid. you can’t sim healing like you would dps since it’s not as “rigid” and much more fluid. secondly, despite the wowhead guide written by automaticjak stating the haste break point is 27%, it’s actually inaccurate. you do not need to worry about any breakpoints yet. always choose high ilvl over specific stats, and prioritise haste/crit over other stats. however, all stats are balanced and equal for us discs, so stacking a specific stat wouldn’t achieve anything.
Just going to chime in here that i noticed this as well with Pawn. For my Holy spec and gearing Pawn was able to identify some key improvements, which I thought was great. But then with my Disc set I noticed the stat priorities weren’t accurate.
So i consider it hit or miss and not worth using because you always have to double check it.
