haste specs are capped at 30% haste from DRs… boring now haste specs are just boring to play as you cant hit the 50/60 mark anymore.
i mean you can go past the dr
your character wont explode if you have 31% haste
you gain so much less stats going past the DR than you would naturally. its just a waste
You can you’re just penalized. I’m at 52% crit most of the time, for example. I think of the 7200 or so “true rating” I’m penalized like 250 rating.
They’d just have to ramp up mob dmg/health or whatever to make up if they let us have true ratings. It’s not like the game would really feel different.
idk i just sim my toon who cares about %
im at 34-35 on my spriest and its literally fine
its always funny racing a brm to rez
funny thing about DH is even when you DR into crit you still want more due to how their spec is built
if this was true then in S4 BFA and S4 SL they would of buffed mob health and damage, but surprise surprise they didn’t.
Why do stat DRs exist? I’m assuming it’s because certain specs value one secondary stat much higher than the rest, and it could become a balancing nightmare if those specs tried to get as much of that secondary as possible? Blizz should try to make secondary stats as equal as possible for every spec, so this really isn’t a valid excuse on their part
devs stated it was because of corruption in BFA, a system they added for 1 season that never returned. also same reason they target capped a bunch of classes because of mass pulls in BFA. then they tried to pawn it off as “easier to balance” yet RDPs rain king ever since. mele sucks, stats suck.
also stat DRs already existed so now you have a DR ontop of a DR but the DR they added makes it so you never even hit the original DRs that existed mathematically.
also, why should they make all stats have equal value when we are getting to the point where everyone is hitting the DRs on 3 of their stats…
Nope?
Plenty of specs continue to stack it to 40%+
yes 30% is the DR cap for when you start hitting DRs and i wouldn’t say mage and disc priest is “plenty”.
even then that’s just 10% haste for 2.5k haste. losing around 6%+ haste. and if you go higher you lose even more.
I’m at 37% haste and haste is still the highest rated stat for me on a dungeon slice sim. Mastery isn’t far behind though.
it will explode with diminishing returns.
and without DRs you’d be at 41% haste
diminishing returns are so you don’t exploit the system to essentially get instant casts for spells that have cast times.
Why not? All stats have DR after 30%. I’ve got Mastery at 70+
And that doesn’t matter. It’s still my best stat. It would be easy to exploit some class mechanics if you were able to stack one stat.
Missing the point here. Why take more haste and go past DR when statistically it’s better to take mastery or crit and get the full value of your stats.
except its not always better
some specs want to go past dr
one of, if not the best spriest NA is sitting at 33% haste (not factoring in possible consumables)
oh the humanity
So go past DR if it’s better, not every spec or class is the same. Like that priest, they can sacrifice vers for haste. But when players are trying to push 60-70% of a single stat, that’s worse.
Yes but I am lazy and I’d rather have more of a stat I don’t need so I can replace gear that has it if the opportunity presents itself.
Also, we’re getting reforge enchants for rings in WW which will help.
