Starting SoD

He is right. Sod is in free fall

Definitely not until like naxx. Vanilla just way less bursty. Classes have less mobility, so combat is slower as in you have less uptime on doing damage. Ranged classes actually have to cast for maximum damage etc. If a target were to stand still in both vanilla and SoD, maybe the kill times would be close, but the factors I listed contribute to a way higher uptime on damage, resulting in way higher total damage being done. SoD is just a total clown fiesta and the power disparity between classes in SoD PvP is much higher than vanilla, which is hugely ironic.

I’m fairly confident that Classic+, if it ever is a thing, will be completely separate from SoD.

Maybe we’ll get Classic+ in a few years or something, but it won’t be tied to SoD.

SoD has way too much baggage tied to it at this point. While it was not a total failure in my eyes, it definitely wasn’t enough of a success for them to use it as a jumping off point for Classic+.

They’ll want to give Classic+ the freshest, cleanest, and hypest start that they possibly can IF they ever decide to make it. SoD would not meet those needs.

I say join Sod. Plenty of time to have fun. Org and SW are full at all hours.

Yes, you can get to 60 in a few weeks with the XP buff and Orgrimmar is still pretty full all the time even though its thanksgiving week + end of the phase. And every class is viable at endgame unlike vanilla. Right now everybody is PvPing until AQ comes out in a few weeks.

If you’ve already played bare bones vanilla then I’d definitely recommend SOD, I’d rather suck-start a shotgun then do that all over again.

I was into fresh but SoD spoils you with abilities.

Not a mistake at all. Sod is the best version of WoW. You’ll love it here

Fresh is terrible
