they drop in the new zone as matts to make the “vestige of origins” (which upgrades ur legos item lv by 2 i think) they can drop from the dailies, rares, treasure chests, and quest from the new zone, either people will be mad focus to upgrade their legos fast vs keeping em, i can’t remember if it was 40 a week or a day per toon. I’d recommend selling them, if ur willing to put off refracting ur legos, then you can use said profits to buy a few weeks down the road when they dropped in price (crafting matts for your legos)

If korthite costs that much, how much will rank 5 and 6 base items cost?!

R6 prob won’t cost as much as R5 actually… because it’ll take 5 weeks before anyone has the cinders for a R6. Prices should stabilize by then as korthite crystals won’t be so rare.

Since most people don’t understand how anything works, a quick primer:

  1. Korthite crystals drop from various activities in Korthia/Maw.
  2. Korthite crystals can be bought and sold/traded, etc.
  3. ONLY CRAFTERS WHO MAKE THE BASE “WHITE” LEGENDARY ITEMS CAN USE KORTHITE. If you are not such a crafter, it is useless to you and you should give/sell it.
  4. Crafters use Korthite to make rank 5 & 6 base “white” legendary items.
  5. You CANNOT use Korthite to upgrade a legendary item directly. It is ONLY used when crafting the base “white” items. And only at that time, when the “white” item is created. If you walk up to the Runecarver with your legendary and some Korthite… he can’t help you, sorry.
  6. It’s 40 pieces of Korthite for 1 item upgrade.

I think the price will quickly settle at 4-5k or so, and then drop significantly from there.

Korthite should’ve just been an item that the player could use to upgrade the ilvl of a Legendary and not have people buy one (or both of they’re progressing gradually) of the two additional ranks on the AH.

yah that is the best thing. The first 2 to 4 weeks the korthites and other mats are going to be inflated prices. I would start off by selling them to make gold. Then about 1 month and a few weeks in the prices will drop considerably. From there, you can just buy them back up at a much cheaper price. Or use the gold you made to just buy your legendary base piece.

exactly there worth a lot not because of being matts for the lego, but the amount you can only get per toon per week
