Starting BfA with Dracthyr

how do I start BfA with Dracthyr? The Warchief’s Command Board doesn’t have it up and Chromie does not offer it as well.

Chromie Time is only for leveling up to level 60 for stuff to scale to that point. When you hit level 60, you should move into Dragonflight and level there to 70.

As a dracthyr, you leave the starting area already at level 60 typically, so you have already moved past where Chromie Time would apply.

That said, there’s nothing to stop you from doing BfA at level 60 or even at level 70, but you may need to relog or restart the game to get the opening quest, either from the command board or it will pop up. You can also try opening up the Adventurer’s Journal on your main menu bar and looking at suggested content, sometimes you can get expansion starting quests there.

Sorry to bump an old thread - but I can’t find the anwser to this anywhere! And this is basically the only place I’ve seen it asked

I have an Evoker at 70. I’m trying to go to each expansion capitol in order to learn all the recipes for my professions. The portal to Dazar’alor in Org is fully functional. However, the city itself is barren of NPCs. I see this means I need to do the intro - sure! But… The quest board does not list it. I accepted as many quests as I could and BFA zones never showed up. The guy next to the board in Org has no quest for me, either. I managed to get my Heart of Azeroth, but Magni gives no quests afterward nor are there any portals back to Boralus/Dazar’alor near him like there should be

I’m grasping at straws now and feel insane that nobody else has asked this. I just want to learn the BFA stuff for my professions. Maybe run some islands on this character someday. But I can’t unless I find a way to get the intro to somehow appear for Dracthyr characters

Install the Btwquests add-on and get the BfA plugin for it. It will tell you what quest your missing in the tree flowchart.

Tossing in a bump here. There’s still no simple resolution for this.

Evoker taking the Zaldazar in Orgrimmar just tosses Evoker into a phased city with no NPCs. However, when I party sync with the Evoker on my character that has played BfA already, when we enter the portal together, we both see Nathanos Blightcaller standing there by himself. If offers me (the non-Evoker) a party sync quest to unlock BfA. The Evoker is offered no such quest.

My friend’s only interest was getting the BfA mount they gave everyone. His Evoker was given the quest to go receive the mount, but the NPC is phased like the rest of Daza’lor.

I told my friend to write this off as Blizzard doing Blizzard things and just go snag it on a non-Evoker alt. Problem solved. Troubleshooting Warcraft is its own mini-game sometimes.

If not on the board a orc or human should have the quest next to the board. Turn on your trivial quests in the menu drop. I’ll look into it more when I get home my Dracthyr hasn’t opened BFA as of yet, because I’ve been lazy about it.

Zenli is on the case!

Yep, right next to the board. In Orgrimmar it’s the one right outside Grommosh Hold, and there’s an orc standing there. In Stormwind there’s a human right beside the board by the dwarven district bank (the archway that leads out to where Chromie is). They have the quest. You might have to turn on low level quest tracking to see it. I have done it on 15 different characters (two of which are dracthyr) so I know it’s there.

Not all heroes wear capes.
Thank you.
