Starting Argus campaign for allied race

Im trying to unlock lightforged dranaei allied race by doing the achievement You are now prepared. I am past level 45 but I do not know how to start the actual Argus campaign, after research it says first to start the quest “hand of fate” but the quest giver, Kadghar, is nowhere to be found. Blizzard support says I must complete Uniting the isles, Armies of Legionfall and Assault on Broken shore. I leveled through Legion as a new Demon Hunter but have moved onto Shadowlands, can anyone direct me to where to start these? So I can then start hand of fate and so on.

Make sure you’ve got trivial quest tracking turned on to make the quests easier to spot.

  1. Complete Uniting the Isles. Khadgar will have this quest inside the Violet Citadel. The only requirement is to be level 45. If you’ve already done it on a character on the account, you’ll get the “easy” version you just turn back in. If not, you’ll have to get to friendly rep with the 5 zone factions. You can easily see if this is done as you’ll be able to see world quests in the various zones once it’s done.

  2. Complete Armies of Legionfall and Assault on the Broken Shore. Khadgar will have these on Krasus’s Landing. Once you’ve turned in Assault on the Broken Shore, you don’t need to go any further with the quests there. You can see this is done as you’ll now see world quests on the Broken Shore.

  3. Head back to the Violet Citadel in Dalaran and Khadgar should now have the Hand of Fate for you.

Thank you! Another question, If I may: While leveling my Demon Hunter I did the majority of the quests for Legion, including assault on the Broken Shore, but stopped to do Shadowlands. I’m not sure whether I’m on track with the Hand of Fate quest, is there any way to see which quests I have completed? Because right now, Khadgar is giving me the quests “Pillars of Creation” and “Cathedral of Eternal Night” which I have not completed.

If you are seeing those two quests, it means you’ve completed the broken shore unlock and should be able to get the Hand of Fate. (You’ll have to get it from Khadgar in Dalaran in the Violet Citadel, he won’t offer it on the Broken Shore.)

If he doesn’t have it in Dalaran, then it’s possible that you started the Argus quests at some point. Check and see if there’s a beacon on Krasus’s landing near the destroyed part of the wall. (It can take a few seconds to phase in.) The next place to check after that is the Stormwind Docks. If you’ve started the Argus stuff but haven’t gone far enough to unlock the beacon, Veressa Windrunner on the docks should be able to get you back where you need to be. For Horde, it’s Liadrin in Bladefist bay outside of Org.
