If blizz offered a starter pac with 5000 flight stones, 500 storm sigils, 300 untapped forbidden knowledge, 200 drakes’s shadowflame crest for $ 39.00 would you buy it or consider it cheating ?
No, and no. It’s stuff you can use to upgrade things, but none of the gear that is upgradable, so people would still have to do that part.
This sounds like if blizzard just made those resources account-wide and you had a bunch on your main
I would not, but if Blizzard was selling it, by definition it doesn’t sound like ‘cheating.’
I’ve spent more than my share of real money on pets, mounts, etc., but I don’t think I would ever spend it on gear that will be replaced in a few months.
I wouldnt consider it cheating, but flightstones are so easy to come by I would just go out and collect them. I think I would rather see things become account wide so I can just send these to my low level alts.
If they did this it’d be a tacit admission that their current gearing system is garbage lol
and no I wouldn’t give them more money for designing the game poorly
And this is exactly how the game is gunna die lmao. You’re talking BASIC currencies that are easy to acquire. Just go play the game ffs
Y’all took the bait so hard
I would say no to the monetization of stones. Idk why they cannot make crests tradable to toons like back in last patch or with cinders in shadowlands. I know devs play their game but seem to not pay attention certain things. My main has hundreds crests and flight stones that I would love to pass down to my alts.
Sorry, I don’t even consider an mtx if it’s over $4.99
I would drop the game, as I would if it would be confirmed players can buy Trader’s Tender for real money. Why the Fel are forumites asking for Activision-Blizzard to monetize the game EVEN MORE? I already pay for an expansion every other year, a monthly subscription, and there’s an in-game shop with services and cosmetics. That’s two too many payments for a video game…
Why would anyone want 300 of those?!?
Let’s not take the user Milkfartz too seriously now.
No.
I’d consider it irrelevant.
Looks like a trial balloon finding out how much outrage there will be when this happens.
I’m not sure if I’d consider it cheating. But it would cross a line for me in terms of the ramp up into what you can buy.
I also don’t think it’s needed. Fyrakks suffusion camp give 2 pieces of gear, researchers under fire gives gear, weeklies from valdrakken give gear. It’s easy for a fresh 70 to get 4 pieces of 400+ gear day 1.
Anybody outraged about a $40 sack of garbage needs to go take a nap. The only outrage should be about what a waste of money it would be.
I wouldn’t buy it.
It’s pointless because the game throws that stuff at you and your alts if you upgrade for your alts it’s zero cost.
Good question. But to me, the answer is when gear is upgradable by purchasing anything to help boost (not character level but power and gear level) then i deem it a pay to win scenario. I dont consider it cheating if its what blizz wants to offer. But the day they offer something like that instead of cosmetic, pet and mount sales then it will drastically change the way a game is played.
I would consider that a horrible deal lol.
Maybe if it was closer to 4.99 and not 39.00 lol.
That’s what these trial balloon threads are about, though. It’s a marketing tool you would see often followed by implementation of the thing that was being discussed out of nowhere.
