Affliction seams pretty straight forward but doesn’t do much damage.
Demon does a LOT of damage but I don’t get Demon bolt. Sure, it gives you 2 Shards but it’s just so slow. In Dungeons, your target tends to die before you use it and Shadowbolt is faster. (in BGs, I’m dead before I can cast it.)
Destruction seams to be the easiest to use. But I seam to have problems with the timing. A lot of clipping.
Plus, I’m constantly told to stack Vers, but I find Haste works better, though maybe that’s more to do with me.
In terms of Demo at level 30 you get a passive called Demonic Core which gives you a chance for Demonbolt to be Instant Cast when your demons die. That is when you use Demonbolt, Otherwise you are prioritizing other skills.
to clarify a bit further it has a chance to proc whenever your imps die (including when you implode them) and you get a 100% chance on 2 procs when dogs die
There’s also an instant-cast talent (power siphon) on the second row which will convert up to 2 wild imps into stacks of demonic core, for instant demonbolts. It pairs really well with the “inner demons” talent you can get later on, giving you a lot of mobility for pvp.
I never hard cast demonbolt, unless someone is doing a pull timer, or I’m solo pve and pulling a tough rare. ![:smile:](https://d38bqls1q93fod.cloudfront.net/en/wow/images/emoji/twitter/smile.png?v=6" ":smile:")
