So I leveled my engineering through Legion doing the Legion assaults and planned to catch up engineering after. Finished class hall and mount then did intro stuff for BFA. I had previously learned Legion engineering, did starter quests but didn’t craft any patterns. I picked up BFA engineering and the starter patterns there and now everything about Legion engineering is gone. The plus sign next to the sub-section is gone, no patterns, no quests and nothing to learn from the trainers in Legion Dalaran. Anyone seen something like this and have any advice?
Before the 8.0 patch what was your engineering skill level?
less than 700? then your bfa- legion skill will be 0.
over 700? you should have some legion skill unless you dropped the profession. If your dropped and relearned engineering you will need to get the bfa and legion relearn books which will give you recipes you had previously got from non-repeatable quests. You skill level would be 1 and all other categories would be 0 with no recipes relearned.
Before BFA and now my Legion skill is 16 - 1 for start and 15 for gnome. I opened a bug ticket because I also purchased the forgotten book and it said already known and still no quests or patterns for Legion. Flew to all the engineering quest hubs to check and see if I did a couple out of Dalaran. I am maxxed at all other levels of engineering as I have always had it since toon created and never dropped it.
I have a question related to this as well. The engineering trainer in Stormwind will only train me in cata engineering. Where is the trainer for base engineering? Or am I just missing something?
You may need to check the Filter on the trainer’s window. That sounds like it is set to show only Unavailable.
Both classic and cata engineering are taught by the guy in Stormwind. Need to change the filter to show what is available.
