When we will Alchemist class that replaces alchemy
Nobody wants a class specifically tailored for gnomes.
They would likely be locked to the race like DH and elves.
Necromancer is sooo much more pleasing to a lot more people and they aren’t tied to a particular race.
As a warlock, I am not interested in Necromancers. They do nothing I do not already do. Now Tinkers have a totally different gameplay (or at least they should) from any class in WOW. They do something differant. So yes Necromancer will just be another Caster, while Tinkers are would be a New Hotness.

Who says that they would be as technology is truly not catered to Gnomes or Goblins any more. LFD has a bigger hand in tech these days than either of them. Blood Elves have made use of tech (powered through magic) throughout the centuries of Azeroth. Those big spaceships that the Draenai have outclass anything that the Gnomes or Goblins could make. Technology is not a Gnomish or Goblin thing anymore. If Blizzard racially locks them it would be very stupid of them to do so. I would be angry about that.

Technology isn’t limited to gnomes but Tinker is.
They don’t call other races engineers tinkers. Thats very much a gnome thing. I mean their leader is literally called the high tinker…

Other races as monks make zero sense. They would be really stupid to try that again.
And they also happen to be the least played class. Until tinker that is. If they are actually dumb enough to do it.

Gnomes +ar, Goblins (Not sure about Vulpera), Forsaken, Nightborn, Dreanei+ar, Humans +ar, Blood Elves +ar, Orcs +ar
Only Night Elves and Taurens might not have Tinkers.
Probably right. Don’t know for sure and not speculating on it. The truth of the matter though is with similar things like “Monk” (even in real world application) people of various groups will gravitate towards it. Bruce Lee and Jeet Kun Do is a perfect example in how something can go from localized to international to worldwide. Popularity aside.
And then who is to say that an idea is dumb until it is fully tried out? Unless you have hard numbers that say that most of the community hates the idea of Tinkers then how do you or I know? I could say the same thing about Necromancers. I could state how idiotic they sound based solely off of the “ideas” of the community (which all it is right now) and how pointless they are when Unholy DKs and Warlocks already does what the community suggest they do.

you realize that in WC2 and WC3 only Goblins were tinkers, Gnomes were only in WC2 as Submariners. As Blizzard forgot to add them in WC3.
Since WOW there have been tons of Tinkers who are neither gnome nor Goblin.
People just like dark edgy stuff more than light joke things. I mean your a void elf, People gravitate towards that kind of stuff so a necromancer is going to be infinitely more popular than a tinker.
Plus everyone always said they wouldn’t add DH because warlocks already had and did everything they do. We know how that turned out.
True enough…regardless of what we want…it all boils down to what will make Blizzard more money. Would Necromancers make more money or Tinkers? Based off the “lean towards edginess” factor then Necros would. But I think that we don’t really know. I think it has been an even amount of love/hate for both classes from appearances that it is up in the air. Unless I see hard numbers I can’t really give a defining answer. I would like to see Tinkers. You would love to see Necromancers. But Blizzard is going to do what they want. We could end up getting both or nothing at all. Who knows?
