Release pre-patch event or nerf all of Nylotha by 50-75%
Gearing alts is horrendous and painful.
What else do we have to do and what does blizz have left to lose
For those curious pre-patch is already going to be fairly empty. The catchup gear is ilvl 100 and nothing new skin wise so most will skip it outside fresh dings.
We do? Anyone that plays this enough is expected a first or second week release into December, not sure who this we is you speak of. It certainly isn’t me or any of the people that stream or Youtube the game.
Pretty sure the shareholders would shat their pants if they delayed it 'til Jan, but I agree, on with it already. Either way we’re waiting for SL, I’d rather have stuff to do that I can get burned out on than to be burned out before it even gets here, though I do get holding off on the city invasions.
With no official date released do you really think its anywhere close to ready?
Really doubt they will drop expansion right before holidays when all hands on deck are needed to ensure smooth operation. I wouldn’t bet they would drop an expansion with a ghost crew. I could be wrong though
Their deafening silence says Jan to me.
Otherwise they would make some effort to prop up december or even november.
Until they say otherwise it’s still Q4 2020. I suspect they’ll pipe up with either the release date or the delay in the coming days as it’s clear people are starting to crack.
Beta is literally a glorified hot mess full of daily massive spec and system changes…I wouldn’t put it past Blizzard still to push for release as soon as possible simply to get that money from holiday sales and to stop the egg barrage on their face…but that doesn’t mean the game is going to be in a fun and playable state.
Now is the best time really to catch up on other games or go watch movies or work on a craft or learn a new skill or something…stop being so massively addicted to WoW if there is “literally nothing to do”.
The business quarter ends on 31 December. Delaying it past that would look bad to investors. With the current delay, even if they were to delay it from 26 October to late December, it would still be within Q4, so would have limited impact on what they have to tell investors.
Also, on the pre-order page, it still says “Coming later this year”.
I think for a lot of people it’s less being massively addicted to WoW and more that this has been a really hard year and people want to understandably unwind with their favorite game. It is a good game for at least temporarily keeping the depression at bay. IMO gaming has been stale for the past few years so it’s just all around sucky atm.
You can’t make an educated guess on what you’ll play if you are trying to be a tryhard min maxer FOTM reroll since there are literal class and system sweeping changes on a near daily basis. Otherwise you’ll just be playing with you enjoy.
BfA being so horrible and unfriendly is literally an argument why you should just take a break from the game to explore other hobbies or work to improve your IRL status in some way if possible. You will be able to level in SL just fine even with basic mythic 0 gear. I know because I leveled a toon at that gear level specifically to see how bad it would be. Granted I couldn’t actually get to 60 without having to run around mining and having a friend behind me party sync with me so I could do old quests again…but that’s just beta leveling things.
Probally not as extreme as delaying an expansion for months and expecting you to somehow figure out how to gear a new toon up with how friendly our ilvl 120 for ilvl 100 raid zone is.
That or you could get slaughtered by people 120-130ilvl in bgs while you die enough times to get ilvl 69 aspirant gear.
Your other option is hit the heroic ilvl cap of 78 and realize most people don’t wanna do m+ keys with your new toon.
There is a huge gap atm ingame between getting ilvl 80-120
With the majority of content lower ilvl toons are unwanted for, and rightfully so.
Yes you can start your own key, but lets be real no one is interested in low keys and if they happen to be anyones gonna join see your gear and leave lol.
Blizz deadlocked the game for months might as well ease the passing of time for people who still have subs.
Telling other people to pay $15 a month and go play another game/hobby is also lulz
I totally get it and COVID wrecked my IRL situation pretty good too.
But stressing over WoW and all the shortcomings is literally not helping any of these folks.
Yes, I wanted pre patch to be today just to have SOMETHING new to see/do…but it isn’t. I got Netflix and HBO and a Steam account of games I purchased with money in a better situation and when they were cheap so there are at least options.
