Starlink and wow

has strlink improved enough in the last 6 mos to allow game play

I run Starlink, located in rural Victoria, Australia - and have no issue. Latency is generally below 50ms.

Would really depend where you are, the installation setup (if you have full clear views or any obstructions), and of course traffic congestion (a high concentration of Starlink users in a particular area may impact things).

ok Darthwraith, sorry

Thank you, I am in Mexico, and the internet is really slow where I am. Movies and Netflix streaming is terrible at the moment and WoW works but crashes without warning frequently.

I live way out. I purchased Starlink a few weeks ago. I had a professional come out here to install it. I can’t use it for wow at all. After conducting speed tests, for me, the speed can be as high as 200mpbs but fluctuates drastically to as low as 3mpbs. It fluctuates significantly and often.

The fix for me was to put all smart TVs, Ipads, Iphones, watches, coffee maker, etc. on Starlink. Currently, downloading or high resolution videos playing crashes our landline. I put wow and essential devices, wife’s work computer etc, on the landline because it’s more stable. Hope this helps.

I live right in-between the south and the north in the US. I had to give Starlink up, not because of latency, but because the service would just go completely out. It was frequent enough to where I concluded the service was not good enough to be paying the price I was. The worst was when it was out for several days. And if you’re wondering, no, I did not have ANY obstructions that would have interfered with the dish. What’s worse, is that Starlink support is basically non-existent.

I have had great success with getting hotspot through my cell phone. There was only one provider that had it in my area, so check around wherever you are.
