So my warrior is going pretty well, but every time I think of end game, I think I’ve made the wrong choice.
End game goals:
pvp and world PvP like crazy
do the odd raid for gear
have a good amount of gold and epic mount (I hate being gold poor)
While I know warriors rely on group fights to excel, that doesn’t bother me… what bothers me is how gear dependant it is at 60. The other thing that bothers me is that warrior can’t print money like a mage can or various other classes.
Did I choose the wrong class for what I want to do?.. I just like running around with a 2h weapon and smashing clothies
Warrriors are living gods. If you don’t want to be a living god and instead become a weak peasant rogue or shaman, that’s entirely up to you my friend!
Warriors can do duo “jump runs” in DM East for good gold. Or you can just do an open world farm, though you will be somewhat slower than many classes, especially while you’re gearing. As a tank, you can also do things like tanking Strath Live but reserving the first righteous orb for yourself (very common practice). Additionally, any class can gather/fish for decent gold.
As far as gearing, just tank dungeons at 60 and roll on both tank and damage gear. Tanks are in very short supply and you’ll be able to dictate things like not taking a 2nd warrior in the group. Then do PvP until you get your blue set and you’ll be quite strong.
You shouldn’t have any problems meeting your goals.
Odd Raid - Great, because if you can get a 2h weapon drop in a pug, then you are set.
Gold - Ummmm… no, wrong class lol! Your repairs are the highest cost, you kill slower, you have no sustain, you need to keep gear updated while leveling.
If you get over the gold thing, then sounds perfect lol.
