Star Wars Or WoW?

Ooooh. Ok. In that case, I agree with you.

WoW is better than Star Wars, because the virtual world of WoW is more user-friendly and therefore more comfortable to spend time in than anything Star Wars.

I have played Star Wars games. Some are good.

They don’t keep you coming back for more like WoW does.

They’re pulling back all of the sources for Star Wars as fan service. I don’t know why Disney has so many problems making a good movie, I think making a SW film would be easy. Just give us 2 hours of Darth Vader walking down a hallway killing rebels and you’d have a $1 billion+ box office.

Easy, Star Trek by a long shot

I’ve really enjoy both stories over the years. It would be hard to choose.

They’re putting the wrong people in charge.

Give Dave Filoni the reigns of the Star Wars IP and you’ll see great Star Wars content. He has proven himself capable of it, yet Disney insist on awful directors and writers.

At least KK’s influence is being reduced.

Star Wars.

BFA has a story?

I actually really like the dichotomy of having shamanistic ancestry and an aggressive war-like mentality. The conflicting cultural values and it being up to the player to reconcile their own sense of honour was great. Especially in early wow when we had a morally justifiable reason for being aggressors. We were fighting for our place in the world, for survival, the alliance were xenophobic and distrustful of the horde races
anything that was not humanoid was looked down upon and outcast.

I also liked the idea of player a faction that was not entirely compatible with modern human ideas of society. Like an orcs greatest wish in life is a glorious death, to serve the horde.

WoW.

At least they don’t act like the story is somehow epic.

I loved this end season of Clone Wars. Although it really isn’t hard to get me to hype up because I loved most of the Clone Wars in general and Order 66 is just icing on the cake.

Depends on whether you prefer Tolkien or Piers Anthony.

I prefer Piers Anthony.

Both depend on which parts of the story you are referring to, because overall they’ve had good and bad parts. Both have been bad lately.

The next and final episode is supposedly suppose to be an Epilogue of Episode 3.

A period of time right after Order 66 and Anakin becoming Darth Vader we’ve never seen outside comics. I’m excited.

depends if you’re talking legends stuff or disney.

legends > pre-bfa wow > pre-disney star wars > bfa >= disneywars.

Honestly both of them have kinda taken a nose dive.

Warcraft has a rich tapestry of lore though often its sidelined for only pursuing one or two plot points or chasing a handful of characters around without giving us a lot of perspective on what’s actually happening in the world.

Take the famous burning of Darnassus. We could’ve explored the full hammer blow shock of the Alliance and the mixed state of the Horde due to Sylvanases impulsive action but somehow we just jump skipped to the Alliance sieging Lorderons walls and then a 3rd of the way through BFA itself to actually have the Hordes leaders question Sylvanases direction, when it should’ve been brought up on the spot with not just Saurfang raging at her apparent sheer stupidity.

But then Warcraft is more a game than an engrossing story. It will be given lower priority over the “rule of cool” or whatever works for the game itself.

Star Wars original three movies has cemented itself as a cultural icon. The following three movies where ok to an entertaining degree but not quite as grabbing as the originals. Still they had achieved a great amount of success in other departments as things like the Clone Wars animated series is one of the most popular animated series out there.

JJ and Rians movies are little more than a chaotic mess. They don’t take advantage of building off what we already knew at the end of the Last Jedi or what the galaxy could’ve been like under the Rebellions/New Republics yoke. We get handed an empire with no substance, a main character with no clear goals or motivations and a plot that didn’t go anywhere since we had no conception on what had changed in the known pig-pen of the galaxy.

Not to mention the great amounts of disrespect that have been displayed across the boards movies Last Jedi and onwards. I don’t care much for the politics these days but it can’t be denied that Star Wars has lost a lot of credibility as of late. With exception to Clone wars and Mandalorian.

If we’re talking popularity Star Wars outshines Warcraft. No question. Warcraft has its audience but story wise it hasn’t aged well as we shambled from expansion to expansion.

And the movie
urgh
Stormwind should’ve been sacked. Alternative universe? What nonsense.

If you mean the level 1 to 50 class stories ToR wins everything else kinda went downhill from there.

ftfy, SW was a Dune ripoff

I was just comparing serious to silly. I’m not certain what the silly side of sci-fi is. Does it have one?

Oh wait, yeah, Space Balls. Honestly, Space Balls is way more fun.
