Not Wow related but for those that care, I just saw this article. I know a lot of people in the forums have posted about SWG fondly. I know I loved it before the combat upgrade.
I’d probably quit WoW forever if they brought back The Sims Online and people actually played it enough to foster a good community.
God, I loved that game.
I did too! Sims on line was a lot of fun and then it got weird!
I’ve always wanted to try this game!
What happened? I stopped playing long before it went under. I was a little kid and my mom cancelled my sub because my grades were failing, lol.
I loved SW:G. For the people and time in which it was released. That can’t be recaptured.
SW Restoration is based on the game after the combat upgrade unfortunately. So there are no creature handlers or bio engineers. So frankly i wouldn’t bother with it myself.
EDIT **** I stand corrected. While it is based on gameplay after the combat upgrade, I see that they have added Creature Handlers and Bio Engineers back in!
yeah, it seems that its a mix of the original flavour with updates. They even have a new secret way to unlock Jedi, which players will have to figure out before you can train as a Jedi like the original launch. I’m going to take a look.
By the looks of it their goal was to take the best of SWG before AND after the Upgrade (the AWFUL upgrade).
I loved the fact that Jedi was something you had to unlock. They were rare and that was so cool.
SWG was fun up until everyone could become a Jedi.
You mean the “love hotel” houses right? Or something else?
If this is pre-NGE, I’ll definitely take a look around! If it is the “enhanced” version where everyone could be a Jedi, it can go back in the fire.
I’m fine in the fire
I feed on the friction
I’m right where I should be
Don’t try and fix me
Star Wars Galaxies…now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time… a long time…
Yes. LOL. Brothels everywhere.
It’s post nge with expansions BUT they brought back all the original proffessions including Creature handler and Bio Engineer, and Jedi’s don’t show on the list of available classes. I believe (can’t swear to it) that it is unlockable (as it was in early SWG).
