some drink forces you to sit while drinking, other drinks force you to stand up while drinking.
im here chilling, sitting at a table in boralus having my morning coffee, reading the forums and news and if I want my guy to have a sip of majors frothy coffee IG hes forced out of his chair to stand up.
If I want him to have a sip of “fresh water” he remains seated.
why the silly nonsense?
its 2025. is there anything that can be done about this?
just have it so that eating or drinking ANYTHING doesnt force you to sit or stand or anything, whatever position youre in when you click on it is what you’ll be in while consuming.
this is almost too silly to talk about really.

It is a coffee that makes you stand up and take notice?
You know you’re too immersed in this game when eating or drinking causes you to instinctively sit down cross-legged, but when you take a sip of coffee you involuntarily stand up and have to wait 2 minutes before taking another.

not sure what your talking about Ekhana. mind drawing some lines between in-game and real-life for us so its easier to understand what your talking about?
are you saying that someone “instinctively” sits cross legged while eating or drinking in-real life? are you also saying that this “you” person your talking about also involuntarily stands up while drinking coffee in-real life?
whatever you want to call it, its just a bother sitting down reading news and goes to have a sip of coffee in-game and the character is forced to stand.
i dont think anyone was saying that they involuntarily stand up while theyre drinking their coffee in-real-life either.
call it what you want, immersion, RP, whatever, i got my morning ritual of reading the web and sitting at a table at an inn logged into-wow just because thats what I want to do.
i do this think where ill drink some coffee and then ill drink some coffee in-game. not perfect sip for sip, but its just for fun anyways.
the whole point of this post was basically to say why is there even a stand/sit motion attached to food and drink? why not just use it as you are.

Real talk, WoW’s animation has been nonexistent since at least 2010, it along with race/base model customization like hood snot removing hair (something equally old games fixed a few years ago), etc are all thing Microsoft should really put money and manpower into if Phil Spencer want sus back to WotLK player metrics again.
You can’t sell folks a 15 year out of date game and expect those result, WoW needs a technical tune-up.

It’s a minor thing, but I like to go walk around/wander randomly for 5-7 minutes or so (basically a quick walk around the apartment complex) right after drinking a hot coffee
I feel like it helps the caffeine circulate better and the energy boost is increased slightly, although I have no proof of this - just the way I feel
I feel this about mount animations. I am sooooo tired of the boring Yulon/Astral Serpent skeleton being “copy-pasted” into every new mount. I was disappointed that the new 6-month sub can’t slither on the ground (…like an actual snake is supposed to)
It’s like, this is a paid $15/month service - this isn’t a charity. Put some effort into providing some original/nice stuff once in a while
