Purely aesthetically speaking. nothing about min/maxxing. Which one you prefer the staff or MH/OH weapons?
Thematically I’d argue the staff is better for mages and a dagger/OH for warlocks, although I like sword and offhand because I still love the original fighter/mage that Blizzard doesn’t want to do.

I hate staves, they are useless and block my view
I love using sword/OH because then I can run around with thunderfury as a clothy.

I like staves more.
The only other weapon type that can be mugged that I like over staves are wands, but I can’t use wands as mogs because Blizzard stopped making them. I have so many of them that I’d like to use, but can’t due to these mogging restrictions

I’d be cooler with MH/OH if the transmog restrictions between caster swords, daggers and wands were loosened.

I don’t really understand it either. I get not letting you mog a 2h axe on a priest, but it’s just another example of them giving you part of what you asked for but not all.
