The mobs will be easily farmable, but yeah, the chances are infeasibly low to target farm it.
I’ll still try to spam it as much as possible.

As is the way.
And those who do can be safely reported for gold buying.
Do you think that mages will be able to aoe farm uldaman (not 1 pulls) at 40?
Or do you think only hunter bot gods will be able to?
A good metric for comparison here is RFK. Mobs tend to be several levels higher than the phase 2 level cap, and that makes it WAY harder to pull off AoE farming shenanigans. Spell resists and sheer mob damage will instantly shut down anything like that. Hunters will realistically be the only class that will be able to efficiently clear Uldaman trash, and this will drastically reduce the supply of BoEs that are already obnoxiously rare, like Pendulum of Doom.
Mage aoe farms can be fickle to the point that more than one resist or miss in a short time leads to having to reset or death. Anything over lvl 42 will be a no go.
if it takes 250 to 1k+ runs to get a single pendulum as a mage doing 1 pulls doing 11 minute resets
Probably closer to 45 minutes with a hunter, even a hunter bot (because blizzard wont ban them) is likely to have like one pendulum per faction per server per month
Pendulum drops off lvl 44-45 elites, mages will not be farming that.
No you misunderstand, i’m saying it takes a level 60 mage on era/classic 250 to 1k+ runs which are 1 pulls that can be brought down to 11 minute resets
Considering hunter will be the only option, the runs will be much much longer and even if its full of bots farming it for 24/7 for months you will only probably see:
Oh definitely. It will not be a viable gearset option.
Most powerful weapon for Warrior next phase will be Visa or Mastercard.
You know there’s going to be a handful of whales that will pay any price - literally ANY price - to get their hands on a PoD during phase 2, especially if Gnomeregan doesn’t have anything that’s obviously superior.
I’ll bet you could put one up for 20k gold and it would sell within a few days.
The lead SoD dev plays a ret paladin, though, so I’m assuming we’ll have better options from the raid.
Isn’t this so sad, knowing intrinsically and %100 correctly that this is complete truth and fact?
I don’t think we’re at risk of not having items from Gnomeregan that are just as good or better. The epic items in BFD are the best you can get now (for the most part), this likely won’t change for Gnomer.
Not that it really even matters, because “the best” weapon is not even necessary to do well in either setting, and especially in pvp. It’s just a difference of 20 damage overkill versus 200 damage overkill at that point.
Seems unlikely.
A warrior might use a staff in the low levels, but if you’re human or orc you’re sacrificing a huge weapon skill bonus that allows you to treat your target kinda like it is one level lower than it is.
At 40 though the only 2h warriors will be arms and the axe and sword spec talents are fantastic I don’t predict you’ll see anyone mortal striking with a walking stick regardless of its speed or dps stats
Top end does not matter this myth keeps being pushed along probably because a slow high dps weapon will automatically have a high top end as well.
Remember if you have a weapon with a top end significantly above the weapons mean damage then you have to understand that by definition that is counter balanced by the low end.
Also no damage dealing ability or effect uses the weapon’s top end; either RNG is used to get the actual damage from the weapon’s range, or the mean damage is used.
The weapon used for quick strike does not matter in the slightest as quick strike is not a “weapon damage” ability the damage done by quick strike is simply 15% to 25% of the warrior’s attack power
SoJ will be absolutely GOATED status with 2h Fury at P2 release
This confirms one thing in my mind:
Ret Paladin is the safe bet. You will be well taken care of.
Like how in FFXIV Black Mage players never have to worry, because YoshiP mains it.
This may be a fact based in technicality but in what practical scenario do you forsee Warriors en masse farming (or swiping for that matter) for the SoJ for like a 2 DPS increase.
