Stackeable Execute

Would you like to see this talent from Legion back to BFA ?

I enjoyed so much stacking my executes until big critic numbers and i miss this trait in BFA, maybe it could be an Azerithe trait ?

No. That’s a horrendous idea.

So you didnt like the execute in legion ?

Just from Uldir, Vectis, Zul, Mythrax. Good luck keeping stacks up consistently. Back in Legion, losing stacks was a consistent issue. Specifically before ToS. When you’re balanced around a specific number of Jugg stacks, dropping them or having a short execute makes your damage essentially neutered.

Juggernaught stacks were great in certain situations, but overall I prefer not having to worry about them falling off, so id say it’s fine as it is now.

My God though, if you ever ran tyrannical eye of ashara at 15+, the sheer amount of execute cheese on that last boss was hilarious by the time you were at 50+ stacks. You could be 3.5 to 4 million dps single target on that boss with the massacre bloodbath build and antorus gear.

Remember back in Legion when Juggernaut was the biggest complaint about Fury and everybody hated it? Good times, man. Good times…

Dindt know that i played warrior until last patch, and i felt Juggernaut was fun , but seems im wrong.

There is nothing wrong with that, and certainly remember more the fun times I was pushing 50 stacks, but the reality is when it was live I spent more time cursing when you at 20 30 stacks and it fell off.

It was a cool concept, just not imo implemented in game very well at the time

And how would you fix it ?

They already fixed it by removing it.

The variability of it was too polarizing. If the fight lasted long enough, you were lucky enough to not get targeted by any mechanics, and the boss didn’t have some mechanic that kept you from executing, you were an absolute god. If any of the above wasn’t true? Well, then your ramp up ability is completely useless and makes the player turn into an actual fury warrior IRL.

They couldn’t afford to make the duration longer either because any boss that has adds automatically creates issues, especially now in a BFA world where you can cleave executes onto multiple targets. Imagine a fight with a constant stream of adds, and the warrior goes into the boss execute phase with 50 stacks already. The damage output would be absolutely stupid.

Or, lets say they only increased the duration to last 15 seconds and there is no type of add abuse that could occur, now for Juggernaut to actually work, no mechanic or intermission phase can exist that causes the warrior to not be able to execute or else he loses his stacks. How is Blizzard supposed to design anything around this effectively?

Adding Juggernaut back into the game means Blizzard has to tip-toe around every single boss encounter to prevent warriors from being absolutely insane or furious because they lost a huge chunk of damage due to faulty design.

To re-add it in a way that wouldn’t cause the same issues as before, it’d need to be either an incredibly well tuned mechanic (unreasonable) , ignored balance-wise (bad idea, balance matters) or so small that it would be largely inconsequential (pointless)

I loved the feeling of stackable executes. That alone would bring back the sheer joy I had in Legion as fury warrior. I loved seeing those stacks go up, and up, and up…

I mained fury for all of Legion, AOTC across the board. However, this time around? Blegh. Fury for me feels like a shadow of its former self.

This, this was the epitome of fun for me, this phase right here.

Annnd that’s the reason why we don’t want it back. You struggle in near last place till 20%, then you shoot up to number one, whats that? you get targeted by a mechanic, back down to the bottom for you. That or you risk moving out at the last second, possibly getting someone else killed with it all so you could keep your stacks.

The longer the execute phase lasted, the stronger it became - You could cheese parses by getting your guild to stop DPSing at 20%. It was a horrid design and needs to stay where it is - dead.

Any mechanic probably feels fun when it works for you when you’re doing content half a year and thirty item levels, full tier set, extra legendaries, and missing half the mechanics.

That video was from something you never experienced. So it’s ironic to use it as the epitome, for you, of fun.
