Every time I try to get on the elevator in SSC my game disconnects. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and that didn’t fix it

Oh God, please, I don’t want that infernal UC elevator boss being sentient enough to purposely troll players and cause more of us to know what gravity is.

Try disabling 1 of the 10+ addons you have to pinpoint which add-on is causing it.
Get a warlock to summon you down.
It’s the water graphic.
When you get on the elevator the water eventually becomes visible to you, and crashes.
Turn the water graphics down.
how do I do that?
Oddly, this used to happen to me in the 2021 version of TBC, but not this time. I would get around it by jumping off the elevator, so that even if it disconnected, my character landed off the elevator.
Otherwise, you can expect a nice fall to your death upon logging back in.
are you using intel mac to play wow? i’m having the same issue SSC/mech elevator will just DC me.

u have to jump a few times to keep the connection
just put the video card on minimum in settings

I’m playing Wow on a VERY old PC whose motherboard is so ancient I couldn’t install Windows 11 if I wanted to, even with workarounds.
I have one storage disk, an HD, with 2 TB.
My vid card is a 1060 Ti.
It takes a long while to load up the game, but I don’t DC on the SSC elevator.
My new PC is still sitting in the box, cause this one hasn’t crapped out completely yet and I’d rather set up the new PC in a new place!
