SS queue times are unbearably long

40 minutes is the average for queues times, from my experience at ~ 2kcr - 2350cr. I can’t speak to other brackets, but where I’m playing - it’s abysmally long. Something needs to be done here.

If you can’t fix que times - make 3-3 count for CR and MMR gains. It will speed things up a little bit (I think)

The high IQ arena DPS community said the fix to queue times is to nerf healers!!!

so I think you need to change your title to nerf healers faster queue times

healers have always been a rare commodity. i mean if you’re complaining about not getting fast queues than play healer. those are pretty much instant.

I don’t understand, people keep saying healers are lacking, and thats whats responsible for the long que times. But active PVP statistics and data suggest that there is enough healers - so why are dps ques 40 minutes? The numbers dont lie and it doesn’t make sense.

I’m convinced Blizzard is actively suppressing DPS que times - either that or the matching making system behind SS lobbies is bugged or needs to be redesigned.

But I don’t believe that it’s from a lack of healers (demonstrably)

Gimme shinies for healing the fotm rets that have neither sanc nor sac on their bars. :dracthyr_love_animated:

yes its one big conspiracy against dps players.

The solution is to queue as a healer but use all the dps talents and stats in the healer tree so you can do some damage as a healer. You’re queue times will be super fast. Not sure what the rating ceiling would be for such a playstyle where you only focus on doing damage and healing yourself.

I think it’s because the matchmaking parameter’s are too narrow. They don’t want 3 rets and 1 lock matches.

Healer total representation across SS is ~25%. Healers have instant ques.

DPS representation ~70%. DPS sit 40 minutes ques.

Simple math implies that if healer representation was at 33% (or 1/3 of total representation in SS - one in every 3 players in a given lobby is a healer), then both healers and dps would have instant ques.

But with less than 10% below that targetted 1/3 representation, DPS have 40 minute ques - math adds up.

You can delve in to the actual numbers to confirm, but the numbers don’t lie.

DPS ques are being suppressed - they should be much faster than 40m

It’s because of the “matchmaking” that goes on. They only allow one of any given dps spec per match.

I really want to play RSS or WoW in general, but it feels pretty bad right now.

Healing lets me get insta-queues, but it’s stressful. I’m not necessarily having fun chasing warriors around the map as they do their very best impression of a toddler running from a parent.

DPS? Fun, but I could better spend my time elsewhere instead of waiting 23 minutes for a queue each time.

But we are still seeing double ret, double lock etc

maybe at high rating I haven’t seen any around 1800.

username checks out

also depends when youre queueing. sometimes queues are like 8min or insta for dps. sometimes theyre not. the math is a lot more complicated than youre making it seem to be.

if a queue is 40min its because youre playing a spec that everyone else is playing which the system tries to avoid putting more than 1 of the same spec in the same lobby. or maybe its bugged.

the fact is there are a lot less healers and healer mains are uncommon compared to dps.

maybe if wow did 2v2 solo it would encourage more healing since its less to keep track of.

It’s certainly a bit more reasonably paced.

1/3 of all lobbies are healers

or just go full mario kart and put a bunch of healing potions and turtle shells around the map and let 6 dps go at it.
