Square Enix gave me free game time in FFXIV O.o

If WoW did this, the forums would be spammed about how the game is dying and Blizzard is desperate for players.

Yeah, games so good they have to give game time away…

You know you can play to 60 for free in ff14, right?

That was back in vanilla also back when the game first started and the servers would be down for days at a time.

Now day’s the game isn’t down for day’s so no more free time added.

Unless of course something would happen to the servers like say Zeus randomly launces a lighting bolt at the servers then we would possibly get free time.

They also do something really generous that I have never seen before. Are you ready for it? They let you post on the FF14 forums and subreddit for free

You can even delete your account and never come back here!

Actually they have :open_mouth:

I was one of those customers

No they don’t. Game is free unless you want SL. It’s just a sub. And Blizz didn’t have to give anyone anything for recruiting.

It is at this moment that it ceases to be free.

That’s literally not what free means. That’s bogo also you are recruiting a potential subscriber so you’re also doing work. Stoo defending this crap company

Yeah but FF14 is just weird and another korean style MMO that no one asked for. It’ll be dead in 6 months, mark my words.

You get something you did not pay for. That is the definition of free.

What does that acronym stand for? Please, spell it out for me.

No it’s okay, I’ll do it.

free time for reaching a certain level?

it’s like they’re not absolutely confident in their gameplay loop

“yo i know this is boring af but heres free time dangling on a stick to compensate”

I guess all those trade-based economies didn’t really exist, then.

But seriously, you are performing a service in exchange for their service. This is not “free.”

By that logic, the OP gave Square Enix the service of trying their game in exchange for those 15 “free” days.

I like my friends too much to recommend WoW. I don’t want them to suffer or be burdened with chores.

Oh yeah, that free game time that didn’t allow me to play for more than one day before it expired because I refuse to fully commit to both games at the same time. Like someone said, $7.50, I lose more than that runnin fer tha bus.

If mean, if you want to stretch logic and technicality to that degree, I could say your character is a troll shaman.
