As of March 2024, Spyro 4 is currently in development ,” Canadian Guy Eh says in the video. “It is being handled by Toys for Bob, and development started in and around January 2024

Is it really called Spyro 4? There was at least one more full Spyro game made after Year of the Dragon. I know because I bought it and it ran like crap on my GameCube. So this is at least Spyro 5 or 6.
All of the post-Insomniac Spyro games suck hard. It looks like this is going to be a sequel to the ORIGINAL trilogy. Which means it has a chance to be good.

I’m willing to pretend the Spyro games that came after 3 didn’t exist. GameCube had some nice hardware and that game I bought ran so slow. So slow that I took it back for a refund.
Well if Toys for Bob did a Crash 4 It’s about time with Crash Bandicoot, then yes.
It’s pretty much the law at this point.
Crash has an awesome trilogy, Spyro has an awesome trilogy too.
Crash gets GBA games, so does Spyro.
Crash gets a sequel worked on different devs that was okay, Spyro gets the same cept buggier and unfinished.
Crash has a terrible crossover with Spyro on the GBA, Spyro will have a worse one.
Spyro has an okay fifth game that did away what made Spyro spyro, so did Crash despite being better then Spyro.
Spyro has a reboot with fighting, so does Crash.
Spyro being used to market a new IP (and looking nightmareish while doing so), so is Crash. (Though Blizzard messed up how Crash suppose to be in the Skylander’s TV show…)
Crash has an awesome trilogy rebooted, and so did Spyro.
Crash got bought out by Microsoft, and so did Spyro. And still none of them can ever hope to kill the plumber.
Crash gets a real sequel after the trilogy, and so will Spyro.
Enter the Dragonfly.
Full might be a misnomer with that game tho.
Spyro 5 is A Hero’s Tail, and 6 is Shadow Legacy.
If were going by releases, this would be either Spyro 14, or 15 depending if you want to count the remake.
Hot Take: I enjoyed Enter the Dragonfly.

Just hope they don’t go too crazy with completion stuff like they did with Crash 4.
