Is there an addon who shows you who failed at a boss?

You have to lose over 30% of your health from one stay in sanguine for an EH announcement

“Mmm, spy addon is there?” -Yoda, probably

I use to use spy it worked well with pvp but as for it being useful for a failed boss ,hardly.

If it is truly “spamming” you’re doing something wrong. I’ll continue to use the addon as my insurance policy for the “… heals?” commentary in PUGs. Don’t get hit by bad, can’t blame healer, no spam. Everyone wins.

Or as it would really be called, KickedFromGroupForUsingAnAnnoyingAddon.

Ugh, I try to forget that addon exists.
Ran a NO dungeon with someone that had it yesterday. Fwiw I was 4th at the end of the dungeon for avoidable damage. That’s with the tank (person with the addon) aiming cleaves at the dps constantly. It took about 3 hits to the face to watch what they were doing, and I figured out they were trying to side step the ability and spinning the mob like a top, instead aiming it at the melee… :woman_facepalming:
My biggest problem is the announcement spamming party chat. I look at chat for important stuff to be said, not “xxgamerdudexx-Stormscale got hit by Cleave” over and over.
If they want that addon, sure, but leave that crap out of chat.

Is that the one that does the “Illiqt-Illidan interrupted big bad evil bag of ducks”?

Follow this advice except the opposite. Shuts down any attempt pugtards try and make with their “why did I die” BS nonsense. Like it is right there Timmy. You got hit by X for Y% of your HP. Healers can not and even should not be required to fix constant stupid. A mistake here and there that isn’t fatal? Yeah sure we all make them but if the addon is going off “non stop” about you…wake the frick up and start paying attention

I used the elitism addon and ppl just got more angry :smiling_imp:

However due to time constraints I decided to not use it anymore :stuck_out_tongue:

How to never get invited back to any group ever

No it tells you player X got hit by [ability] for Y% of their HP. Basically if you were meant to dodge avoidable damage and didn’t, you’re getting tattled on. Useful to shut down pugs who always go “heals???” whenever they die or try and BS their way and go “I didn’t get hit by anything”.

Unfortunately, won’t stop the “laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag” excuses but nothing will.

Edit…wait that would actually really be sweet if an addon existed that could ping and track latency between party members

You can just use details to do this. Details often is more accurate in gives a much clearer timeline of damage taken to see what actually lead up to a death. Having an addon spam people saying “YOU TOOK 14K FROM X MECHANIC” is a great way to get muted and blacklisted.

No one likes people that use this addon.

:eyes: I’ll have you know in a parallel universe where I’m not lagging all the time I mythic raid on two PCs at the same time :relieved: unfortunately due to the massive lag I have to suffer through in this universe, I can’t be on top of my game. But I have cuter pets in this one. You win some, you lose some :relieved:

PS: Any idea what does the interrupt call outs? Interrupting is my main contribution to any content and I’d like to make it known I interrupt more than all those melee people :unamused:

Sure but in a pug, odds are good you aren’t going to see each other again so why care about the details info after the fact? This is real time information. At worst, as useful as details info but calling people out and shutting down the common excuses, I would argue, is a net positive.

I run it and can count on 1 hand the number of times people actively complained about it and I don’t need any fingers to count the times I turned it off for a pug request or demand.

No I don’t know what that one is. It doesn’t super bother me, but I find that “info” less useful than tattles because, at best, all it tells me is your interrupt cooldown is down (which other addons can do too) but it can also be misleading if you don’t interrupt anything but still use it I don’t think it says anything which could risk making some believe you have your interrupt up when you don’t.

There is a world of difference in what goes on and helps in a pug world vs a dedicated group comp using voice chat and relaying info and reviewing info after the fact. Like you don’t need tattle tale if you got people who take personal responsibility. At best, it solves any immediate question of “did I get hit by something” in that situation.

Pugs though are such a mixed bag and often a group can break down simply by arguing who was at fault for a death/wipe and in this scenario, tattle tale at least points the finger in the initial proper direction by at least bringing to light who got hit by what and how much it did without hunting the info down in details. It may still be there is a fundamental problem with how the pull is being done or whatnot or maybe the person “at fault” made the mistake because of a mistake someone else made, but pugs are very rarely going to ever dig through the weeds to talk and think those things out after the fact.
