Since Spy shows you the XY coordinates of your enemy, why not just also have the option to ding your radar as well?
Thoughts?
I assume you don’t actually have the addon, because it doesn’t do that. The only thing it does is alert you that there is an enemy player nearby.

Addons can only give coordinates of your location, not someone else’s.

Pretty much this.
Spy is pulling YOUR coordinates when you detect the enemy, not theirs. When you share it, you’re essentially saying, hey, I detected this guy when I was at this location

Ahh, that is a good point, I thought it was of the person.
So if Spy is using the combat log, and that has a 50 yard max for example, then what if Spy were updated to show a 50yard radius on your radar for who the Spy opponent detected was? For example, draw a blue light circle of where the enemy mage was in 50yard relation to your location when it was detected, as well as other enemies, etc. Would help a LOT in locating enemies.
It’s possible you could make an addon that drew a max combat log circle around your current location on the minimap, but it wouldn’t be terribly useful IMO.
