It won’t matter in pve as priest don’t get oom but in pvp its a huuuge nerf. Also managing 3 dots sounds like the most boring playstyle in the game.
People already melt to 2 dots in pvp, now we have to deal with 3 with the option of devouring plague for all races thrown in as well.
From a PvE perspective, “theoretically” it shouldn’t be too big of a deal if the mana regen of VT averages out to the same or more than having dispersion every 2 minutes.
From a PvP perspective it is a clear and huge nerf, and it is in a similar vein of nerfs shadow priests have seen for a long time. They always get f’d by blizzard into being forced into a “meaningful choice” between damage or a defensive. It isn’t meaningful when it’s the only spec that is forced to do so lol.
No nerf to dispersion is needed.
Maybe blizz shouldn’t have added a 3rd dot in the first place lol. All the had to do to make void plague more manageable is give it a 1 second cast time.
Spriest killed people in 2 dots for 3 phases they shouldn’t be viable at all in p4 tbh
Why you level every class to 50 and just play the best one
Yeah they should, it’s broken.
We’re not getting mass dispell either, which means that pallies will remain the kings of PvP until SOD TBC lmao
Dude wants to take time to kill from 3 seconds to 1 apparently.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
ahh this is great.
Doesn’t seem to be an issue when rogues or shaman do it.
Yeah it’s broken, accept sp is way too OP for such a noob class. Dot shield run disperse win, literallly anyone can be successful on SP.
the raid that gives you a slot would not be okay with that.
Yes. I agree. Remove from game. Thanks
I really would like to see PVE spriest looked at more thoroughly. We’re being outpaced by all damage classes currently in phase 3. Our output looks to be even worse for phase 4 with other classes massively scaling away from us. We shouldn’t be relegated to the utility only class that you bring for funz. Gets no gear because provides no dps and just stands around in raid. I admit that PVP shadow priest is a struggle to deal with, but we shouldn’t be completely worthless in pve because our pvp is good.
now you have dispersion and vamp touch
utility classes arent brought for fun.
Exactly, it’s not fun to bring a class just because you need it’s utility. Also not fun to be the class that’s brought just because your utility is needed. Especially when in most raids your gear would come last because you provide very little damage.
Spriests shouldn’t have to pick between void plague and dispersion
Yes they should, they really really should. Shadow Priests are way too tanky for how much damage they can put out with a single GCD (void plague).
Forcing you to either lose Void Plague damage or Dispersion is an absolutely perfect change. It effects your PvE viability 0%, actually it buffs your PvE DPS now that you can have both Twisted Faith and Void Plague, while substantially nerfing SP in PvP. It’s perfect. SP are too weak in PvE in terms of their DPS while they’re way too strong in PvP being able to have disperse and void plague in PvP.
This change is brilliant.
OP, this thread was foolish.
Week 1 of phase 2 STV is over little guppy, the big bad shadow word death cant hurt you anymore. The nightmare is over. Its time to move on.
Choosing between a major defensive cool down or a damaging ability has never been a good gameplay choice in any iteration of this game, regardless of class.
