Hey, I have a problem about shadowform. When I play SPriest the one thing that gets me the most is shadowform’s apperence. I don’t like how it looks at all on my characters. When I look at it, I can’t see my transmog or my character at all. I tried the glyph that (dims down the shadows apperence) but to me that’s doesn’t do nothing for me but make it look more like they tried to smear it and not change the problem because they are to lazy. I know that there have been multiple shadowform looks over the past years but can’t Blizzard do something about the apperence’s!!!?? They gave druids new cat and bear forms apperences in Legion and probably more coming in BFA but come on, your telling me that they can’t do something about SPriest Shadowform like make glyphs for it. One that makes the form like the old days, one that makes it look like the one from legion, another that doesn’t cause smoky appearence, for other people and for me, one that makes it look like shadowform isn’t on at all or one that DOESN’T turn my skin purple. It would be nice to have a void elf SPriest that I can ACTUALLY see. Plus I also tried SPriest with out Shadowform on but Voidform just forces me back into it and it’s annoying. I agree that we need more choice in how shadow form looks. Druids have a ton of options for how their forms look baseline, and then glyphs on top of that.
Personally I would like to just turn it off altogether.
I love the way void form looks because it’s temporary. To always be transparent or covered in a purple cloud or have a weird purple texture projected onto my character is just too over the top.
Ideally I’d like to just look normal, no shadowform or anything, while at 0-20 insanity. Then it gets progressively more dark the closer you get to 100 insanity and then you go into voidform for the voidform appearance as normal.
I know there’s a lot of people that like the look of shadowform out of combat, but I’m personally tired of it. The legion version with the purple glow and no smoke looked a lot better IMO
I think the idea of a progressive shadow form based on insanity is really cool, but I worry about the pvp implications of your enemy knowing without targeting you whether you were ready to shift into void form.
There is also still a glyph of shadow form, but I don’t know what it does currently. When it was introduced a few expansions ago, it would revert you to vanilla shadow form.
I agree with you Slimeseason! When the BFA version showed up on the ptr I thought it has to be a work in progress. When it just showed up with no changes on the live server it really surprised me. It looks unfinished and broken to me. The lightening texture doesn’t have anything to do with shadow to me. It looks so weird. I also hate the way the smoke leaves little clouds as you move.
The legiom version was at least a little bit more subtle.
