Night elves were the first race to become worgen, and a Kaldorei-worgen looks exactly the same as a human-worgen.

Worgen are a direct result of a nature god whose psyche and associated angst bleeds over into druidism directly from the Emerald Dream. That literally canât be an abomination against nature. It is nature. A big honking sledgehammer of angry nature that was a bit bigger than the night elves were ready to swing around, but nature nonetheless.

Reminds me of playing my Worgen on that one chain in grizzly hills where the logger camp is secretly Worgen and after you escape the camp the npc starts yelling at your character⊠Were you bitten? I was sad to see my Worgen couldnt reply with either⊠âCould beâ⊠Or âI might have bitten a few of themâ⊠Or âYes do I look a little hairy to you?â

Worgen were unnaturally changed from their human forms, thatâs a bigger difference you care to realize. Tbh I donât care what lore blizzard invented youâre basically glorified fan fiction, old druid lore requires a pilgrimage to moonglade and how do you a full druidic education inside a walled nation? You donât.
Iâm glad classic is coming, I get all the world building lore and quests back which further makes your race/class look like fan fiction.
The Legion and the Scourge utilized many different races, big and small so I say why not

Major powers would probably institute a bounty on wolves to cull the herd and stop the infestation.
Weekly quest to kill 25 of them. It rewards a Mythic raid level piece, and they are targetable even with warmode off as long as you have the quest in your log. It also shaves those killed, causing them to have a funny hairless model, like a naked mole rat.
Nature in WoW isnât just some vague teleological bullcrap to be used as pseudo-morality like people do in real life. Itâs a very specific set of forces and entities that come from a very specific layer of reality. The only thing thatâs ever come out of the Emerald Dream that wasnât definitionally nature is the Nightmare â and that was an external demonic invasion. If nature wolf god says âyou is a wolf nowâ, enjoy your face full of nature because you is a friggen wolf now, no matter how much or little contact you had with the Emerald Dream before that.
The reason Pack Form is a deformed curse isnât because itâs âunnaturalâ, itâs because the spirit behind it was a contagiously angry ragemonster.
Yeah, the Gilnean harvest-witches werenât druids. They were proto-druids who had no way to actually advance beyond growing stuff and the most basic spells. We get our pilgrimage to Moonglade ingame just like any level 1 night elf, tauren, or troll (and I really wish they hadnât cut all the questlines to make pacts with the spirits there â thatâs something about Classic I sorely miss). Every surviving Gilnean who isnât druid class has been getting personal attention from the night elves anyway while, you know, living in Darnassus.

The worgen curse originates from the pack form used by druids in the war of the ancients. The form of the pack was based on power from goldrin, the wolf ancient. It was a forbidden form because assuming it filled the druid with uncontrollable rage that would end up taking over, leaving the druid feral/mindless.
The current gilnean worgen were caused by archmage arugal summoning the original worgen from the war of the ancients who had been imprisoned in the emerald dream. He wanted to use them as a weapon against the scourge to protect gilneas, but didnt realize how uncontrollable they would end up being.
Those worgen infected gilneans with the curse, leading to what we have now.
Because the origin of all worgen is goldrin, it doesnât matter what race they are, theyâll look like a wolf
