One of the few defensive options in the game is now been gutted. Before making changes like these please add more defensive options to the embellishments category. As a Hunter I finally did not feel like I had no defensive value, now back to square one. As a priest most of the embellishments are useless m, this was one item I could depend on and consistently useful. Instead of again killing the shield portion more just tone down the versatility you added in the first place. Really sad to see this change.

As an Enhancement Shaman I was using sporecloak to suppliment my non-existent defensive options. I despise this change almost as much as I despise the fact evoker, another mail class, gets two charges of astral shift, a button to heal them for all damage taken over the last 8 seconds, an AoE heal that doesn’t cost resources (Like chain heal cost malestrom weapon). Honestly Blizzard this is not okay, we were using sporecloak to cover up for your poor class balancing/design.

Why not buff the underperforming embellishments to be more competitive instead of making them all weak? Seems like a strange decision.

well every embellishment is nerfed by 50% in PVP

and every embellishment just got nerfed by 35%
and spore got gutted

The versatility nerf… wait is this real?? why didnt i see this the other 3 times i read patch notes?
So basically, if youre above 70% health, youll hit like a wet noodle and also take a lot of damage? Versatility nerf means you dont do any damage unless hovering around half hp. This is a complete meta change. is this real or am i hallucinating???

The cloak was changed in a previous ptr patch to provide a versatility buff while above 70% health. The buff it provides is what is being reduced by 75%.

OHHHHH. i see. makes a lot more sense now. i was trippin

One of the reasons S3 will probably be substantially more miserable.

Sporecloak was a minor but necessary speedbump in the face of the crazy burst in the game, especially for classes who don’t have any defensives to press in stuns.

Good. More damage is always better.

Good, remove this pve nonsense from pvp.

How is crap like this any different from the BFA tank trinkets everyone ran and ruined the game with?

Ground shear sunder tremor short wall burrow knock healing stream - healing surge. Non existent? Please explain.

Sure you don’t have an immunity but an array of anti caster tools and pretty powerful self heals. What more are you exactly looking for? In my arena experience turbo is a pretty durable comp with an rdruid.

I’d expect a shaman to be like proc play style isn’t fun or getting permanently kited by mages and hunters feels bad.

non existent defensive kit is a curveball to me

as a fire mage… im kinda sad, this was what let me kinda feel like i had a 10% reduction in HP instead of 20%.

DIY spore cloak, the towel you dry off with after a shower, dont wash it for a year.

This feels like a drastic change. With these nerfs, it no longer is a viable option for defensive stats, as their vision for the item was, or for utility. This plays into the Loss Aversion ideology resulting in no one crafting this item. Why craft this, when it feels bad to craft compared to what we used to have?

In PvE you have the choice of pressing astral shift on 1.5 min cd, pressing earth ele to gain some minor stamina buff, and then outside of that you can either press healing surge on yourself, or go into ghost wolf and AFK for 5 seconds. Terrible design when Evoker has a plethora of defensive and self heals that don’t cost any resources like mailstrom weapon stacks for chain heal.
