I don’t regret not siding with him, because frankly I was disgusted with the way he first: tried to commit suicide because things weren’t going his way, second: refused to leave with us when we rescued zul and talanji, and third: only decided to get off his mopey, big, green behind after Anduin (of all people) decided to throw him a pity party.
I could go into more depth but no one cares and it’s not something that other people have posted in numerous threads already.
However, he’s made a small step in the right direction when he sticks up for my boy Rastakhan during the upcoming Baine rescue. Calling the alliance out on killing one of my all time favorite characters helped him earn back a little favor
His arc was already finished. He made his mistakes, he learned his lesson, he became a better troll.
So since his story was done his life was of no further use. And with today’s Game of Thrones loving audiences, that means his death can be used for shock value.
I disagree with greymaine imprison the princess personality. order them leave alliance water is a good ideal. have alliance warship escort in direction horde land would to much to ask.
Yeah I agree the comment is a little out of place considering Saurfang has been essentially MIA for the majority of the xpac so far.
the conversation goes as follows though
Spoiler broadcast text
Saurfang: I did not expect the Alliance to be here.
Shaw: Not the first time we’ve had to move against a corrupt warchief.
Saurfang: Or a sovereign king. Slain in his own home.
Thrall: Focus on the task at hand. Baine’s time grows short.
Shaw: A home that still stands. Can you say the same for Teldrassil?
Jaina: That is enough! We are not here to fight each other.
Not defending one side or the other but from the my perspective as a player I’d rather lose a city than a major lore character. Losing either one sucks but reclaiming/rebuilding (regrowing?) a city is easier than reclaiming a character.
Obviously as characters in the story that’s not what they’re concerned with. I’m just glad that Rastakhan’s death isn’t instantly being swept aside, even though this is essentially just a minor plug
Yeah I was actually kind of surprised by that since it’s Lorthemar that sends us to go rescue Baine. Makes the desire for war a little more real and adds some depth beyond doing it cause we were told to
