I was under the impression that what we beat up were just little physical manifestations of the old gods… really they spread across all of Azeroth. Yoggs corruption was spread all over Northrend. They are more like a presence than physical beings.

Edit: I mean like they are a presence that can spread and corrupt to the point of a physical corruption (which is what we battled).

I respected C’Thulhu a lot more back before I discovered that we’ve been dumping astronaut poo in his front yard for twenty years. I mean, if somebody were dropping anchor on my lawn, I’d at least have words with them.

Already did.
It didn’t take.
No seriously, I flat-lined for over a minute in 2009 and my heart basically restarted on its own after failed attempts to resuscitate.
