*SPOILERS* Tyrande's thoughts on the aftermath of the War

For those who don’t know the datamined text:

Shandris: You spoke harshly to King Anduin, Tyrande. The kaldorei can ill afford to shun the Alliance. They have provided aid and comfort to us in these dark times.
Tyrande: The young king is foolish to trust our enemies. Harsh words should be the least of his fears.
Shandris: The Banshee Queen no longer leads the Horde. Those who do seem more inclined toward peace than war.
Tyrande: If the wolf is rabid, it matters not who rides it. Sooner or later, the beast will bare its fangs.
Shandris: You are dearest to my heart, Tyrande. I beg you, let go of the Black Moon’s rage and embrace the mother’s light once again. I could not bear to lose you to darkness.
Tyrande: Know this. My hunger for vengeance will not be sated so long as Sylvanas Windrunner remains free–and until I know why Elune abandoned her children.
Shandris: Tyrande! Do not say such–
Tyrande: I will tarry no longer in this city of men. Let us leave for the boughs of Nordrassil.
Tyrande: From there we will dispatch the Sentinels to every corner of Azeroth. Let no one rest until the Banshee is found!

So this raises a bunch of questions for me.

She mentioned ‘‘Let us leave for the boughs of Nordrassil’’ which makes me theorize that it’s the place where the Night Elves will relocate their population.

But, what does it mean for factions like the Cenarion Circle, or more specifically, the Guardians of Hyjal which are neutral. She is going to use it as a staging ground for her search of the Banshee Queen after all.

Next, the whole ‘‘losing faith in Elune’’ trend that’s been happening with the Night Elves, we know that the Priestesses that remained in Teldrassil asked Elune to ease the pain of the dying citizens, to which she complied.

Now, I would understand the wavering of the faith of certain Night Elves, but as for the Avatar of Elune herself to be doubting her? Doesn’t she commune with her? As in, what could possibly be happening for her Avatar and High Priestess to not understand?

I hope they expand on this a lot to be honest, since it was the driving point of BfA

Blah blah blah, how dare they hit back, yadda yadda, gaze into the abyss subplot, garble yarble crawling in my skiiiiiiiin, ho hum, setup for Sylvanas raid boss in next expansion, and done.

At least she managed to get out ten words without simpering over Malfurion. Good for her!

Hopefully Nordrassil doesn’t become night elf exclusive. As a fellow druid I have vested interest in that location myself.

That said Nighthaven in Moonglade and Nordrassil were both major night elf population centers before Teldrassil. It makes sense they took refuge there after all that happened.

As for the Cenarion Circle… The leader is married to Tyrande. I doubt he minds if she crashes there. I also doubt any druid, Horde or Alliance, would object with the goal of hunting down Sylvanas. Shoot, I’ve been wanting to hunt her down for her crimes against nature since Cataclysm. Now I finally can!

Yeah I don’t like this either. Tyrande doesn’t know what happened on Teldrassil yet. I don’t like this idea that Tyrande may turn away from Elune. They really need to explain what happened becuase from Tyrande’s perspective, Elune didn’t do enough so their is a reason for her believing so. You’d think that she would have consulted Elune at some point in time. A vision or something.

Nope! Get out!:rofl::rofl:

I don’t think there’s much behind it. If they need punching bags, they will surely include the night elves in the story again, but giving us a new zone wouldn’t be a major loss for us, so it’s not going to happen.

And damn I really really hate Anduin now.

Tyrande is an avatar for just one aspect of Elune, so not representative of Elune as a whole. I suppose she’s wondering if Elune is even worth following at all, even after she gets vengeance via the Night Warrior aspect of the goddess. So, that would be the “embrace the mother’s light” that Shandris asks her to do (and she refuses it, at least for now).

If Tyrande ever does come back to “Elune’s light”, I hope it’s Shandris that ends up convincing her and finally getting through to her. Just don’t let it be Anduin…please for the love of all that’s holy not him.

Not true. Her predecessor said that no one was able to channel Elune’s power like Tyrande could and Tyrande was still a novice priest at the point. If it wasn’t evident over the last 10k years considering how powerful she is, she became the Night Warrior. She now holds Elune’s raw power within her. No one’s been able to do that since before the old empire started.

But more to the point lore (unless it’s been changed) says that the priests if Elune are trained warriors because of the Night Warrior aspect. So even without being the actual night warrior she still represents Elune.

I like to believe she will once she’s attained justice or until she feels it’s no longer necessary. But I agree I hope that Anduin has zero to do with it.

I was wondering about that too. Plus, Tyrande JUST got empowered by Elune–seems a bit, hm, ungrateful? for her to be talking like this. Elune clearly hasn’t abandoned Tyrande, who is one of her children, so … doesn’t quite compute.

I am loving this new Tyrande!

That probably means shes getting whacked with the villain bat and tossed under the bus.

As far as Elune goes… we still do not know what happened to Voljin. He says the loa either could not hear him or they chose not to. Tyrande and Voljin are like the Popes of their respective religions and they both are having similar situations. Their circumstances may be intertwined.

Yes, everyone with a single personality trait are being defanged or converted into anduin ideals.
Tyrande too will soon will be converted!

resistance is futile.

Yeah! My thoughts exactly, to be honest it even surprised me how demanding she sounded when doing the ritual, yet Elune still heard her and empowered her. I just hope everything settles down later on. I love Tyrande and Elune to be honest.

Reminds me of Jania.

Right? A leader worth fighting for, what a nice change of pace. It’s too bad she’s almost certainly going to be in the wrong since she’s up against perfection himself.

Tyrande: But Lord Anduin, I-I…

Anduin: Hush, Tyrande.

And then they kiss!

I know and it’s so stupid.

I had actually forgotten about Vol’jin’s problem with the loa. You may be right.

The Night Warrior and Mother Moon are two sides of the same coin… This doesn’t make much sense to me. Both are necessary for keeping the balance. One is not preferable to the other, and they are both Elune…

Elune made you the Avatar of her Vengence and shrouded your lands in Eternal Night for the sake of your cause… Blizzard… Stop trying to pull the Kaldorei away from Elune please… Especially in this incredibly stupid and nonsensical way.

Yay girl power… Show us that Matriarchy, I love it.

Side note, Hyjal has always been Night Elf exclusive. In fact, that is why Everlook exists in Winterspring. It is the highest non-Kaldorei were allowed to climb without permission from the Night Elves.

So we have to assume the non-Kaldorei we see at Nordrassil are those who had permission to be there.

“Why Elune abandoned her children.”

I bet you Blizzard will never address this as Tyrande in denial, because SHE is the one that abandoned their Nightelves and allowance of Sylvanas claiming Teldrassil in order to save her boyfriend. Elune didn’t abandon the Nightelves, she did.

But I bet this will never be addressed nor will there be any comeuppance coming her way for it. Just as it never came to Jaina for abandoning the Alliance in hopes the Legion would win so she could say “I told you so.” In Legion.

I agree. The only thing that makes this odd is that Blizz has never really displayed the warrior aspect of Elune in any way before. It’s mentioned in WotA but nothing beyond that. There was Ysera but this is really the most we’ve seen her intervene in a battle. So some people may see it as a different thing and that quote makes it sound different too.

Yeah this isn’t Tyrande being sensical just Blizz being dumb.

That’s not what happened. She wanted to go fight but get own people begged her to stay. By the time she went through the portal to get Malfurion the battle was well on its way to being over. She can’t open more portals to save people and fighting would have only delayed the inevitable and both Malfurion and Tyrande would have probably died.

“She can’t open more portals to save people and fighting would have only delayed the inevitable and both Malfurion and Tyrande would have probably died.”

So abandoning them was her best course of action? Yet she… blames Elune.
