Say sylvanas does master death or become it, what does the rest of azeroth do in response?
In normal world with even mediocre writing being villain can be fun. Not in WoW though. Sylvanas’ stated motivation is to “kill hope.” What kind of motivation is that?
It’s like Blizzard only knows how to write one type of villain. Look at how similar Sargeras and Sylvanas are. Both want to wipe out life on Azeroth to stop the void/old gods. Both are obsessed with ending hope.
As much as I’ve been saying I want to see an expansion where we straight up lose. It wont be to Sylvanas seeing as her goal is the death of every living thing on the planet.
I mean at this point Sylvanas is literally discount Arthas. She even has the same exact end goal as him.

I never actually looked at all that nonsense they threw in right before ICC about Arthas so it wouldn’t ruin the character for me.
Even without all that. The Burning of Teldrassil was a one for one copy paste of the Destruction of the Sunwell. Right down to raising the pime defender (and a little flash back just in case it was just too darn subtle for our little minds).
Its embarrassingly not subtle. Its like the people making the decisions saw the Lich Queen memes from Cataclysm and went “GREAT IDEA!”
