I gotta talk about it! It was good! In all the negativity we get when talking about the new expansions, how about a positive thread to talk about what we liked about the new story?

The quality of the cinematic is great for sure.
I haven’t gotten to sit down and watch through things, so in my usual fashion I’ll praise the one team I can rely on amidst Blizzard’s otherwise dubious record.

I think it’s definitely interesting, I was assuming that Sylvanas was serving the old gods just like everyone else. It’s at least better that she’s trying to turn the tables.
The cinematic was phenomenal; I hope we get to see Jaina or Tyrande in that style one day. I wonder what comes next for the story. It’s also interesting that the Horde gets another choice; I hope the Alliance get some at some point, too!

It looked amazing, but is currently driving me to the brink of insanity with how insultingly dumb it is as an ending to a story.

Alright! So, now that I have actually watched this cinematic and can provide a formulated opinion… SPOILERS
Holy F**king crap, I legitimately did not expect to see Saurfang get clapped so hard in a 1v1. I’m not saying that is bad, given that at this point Blizzard does -need- to make Sylvanas feel threatening in the capacity of a raid boss tier character, it makes total sense.
A single action that normally would not make any question said it all. The moment Sylvanas said “The horde is nothing!” that single turn of the head told me everything that forsaken was thinking. It aint much, but it was nice to see the forsaken turn on her in a relatively clear way and see the exact moment Sylvanas looses them. Make that forsaken Zappybois bff.
Other than that… more or less what i was expecting. I would have preferred Jaina to be present over Anduin (she has actually been the driving Alliance hero this expac. wtf Blizz?). While something involving Tyrande would have been cool, I can understand why she was not here given the current rumors regarding things like Alliance division and the Army of the Black Moon.

Absolutely great cinematic, all the bad writing was secondary to the tense dialogue and beautiful rendering. Man I loved it.
