It looks like the faction war is ending in 8.2.5 (and all leaks that said it wouldn’t are wrong).
There’s also apparently two cinematics and five models added in this build, all of which are encrypted.
Thoughts?
The thing I find amusing is that they are yelling “Sylvanas on the splash screen!” and Anduin just in the back like “Hey I’m here too…”
Now that said, the phrase “conclusion of the war campaign” could just mean the player questing. The faction war itself could still be on.
Two new cinematics. Bets on one or both of them being Sad Saurfang?
For all we know they are only wrong because they mistook 8.2.5 for 8.3 and the actual 8.3 for the next Expansion…
There is no way the next Expansion would be leaked this soon!
In otherwords Sylvanas and Anduin could still kill each other in the Assault on Stormwind in a 20-Man Scenario on the same level as Battle for Lordaeron(the Scenario is 20-Man remember) dragging each other into the Death Realm you know!
Sylvanas would likely use her stunt to feign validation but infact be preparing her biggest act of villainy once N’Zoth is fully kicked out of the Death Realm(which I would assume is the Emerald Nightmare/Thros the Blighted Lands since Kathrine Proudmoore did say we should return there eventually) and Queen Azshara is dead in Ny’alotha.
Our Sleep and subsequent Awakening draws near… If the leaks are semi-accurate which I doubt…

All I can say is, the end of the war campaign had better not mean we’re getting another truncated expansion story like WoD. I’m getting tired of buying half an expac because the devs are bad at their jobs and need to rush out a replacement.
I’m sure the end of the war campaign will be in line with the rest of it. With the Alliance undoing everything the Horde accomplish.
We will probably lose Sylvanas in one way or another as well since the Horde isn’t allowed to have powerful characters, nor are they allowed to antagonize the Alliance.

Hopefully this means the 8.3 leak is wrong, which gives me some peace of mind. If the “thrilling conclusion” is in 8.2.5, that should mean I don’t have to worry about some BS vindication of Sylvanas’s actions’ after getting everyone killed or that the Night Elves story literally had ended with the Darkshore WF, giving them no hope for future.

Well that’s a really sick title, definitely worth the price of admission.
So according to wowhead the encrypted cinematics are 3:18 and 6:18 in length. The fact one is 3 minutes isn’t a surprise but the 6 is. The cinematics usually aren’t that long.
