As if Anduin would do anything even if there wasn’t a force field between them. The most he would do is pull up a chair and start acting as a free therapist to help her sort through her near endless Arthas issues.

The only things I can think of is that they want Anduin to wield it, or they want his soul to be the first one to empower it.

Players with Shadowmoure should be able to upgrade it to a current legendary! It fits the story perfectly.
