[SPOILERS] Dreadlords

This is, after all, the solemn duty for which you sired us. As you are fond of saying: Once a desire is understood, it can be exploited.

The word “sired” and the reference to desire imply that Sire Denathrius created the Dreadlords.

In many ways, the titans will be the easiest to manipulate. Their singular goal is to impose structure upon everything they see.

Show them a force that opposes their drive for Order, and they will be consumed by their urge to eradicate it.

Their pantheon, so seemingly united in purpose, is vulnerable to fracturing.

Dreadlords corrupted Sargeras on purpose to distract and manipulate the Titans.

The void lords all but welcome us with open arms. They are so preoccupied with their thousand truths that they ignore the lies we sow in their very midst.

I believe we can leverage their vast reach to position them as a foil against our other rivals.

We remain wary, though. Since they are observant of multiple outcomes, it is conceivable they could anticipate our coming.

Sargeras was corrupted by witnessing a Void World with a corrupted World Soul and interrogating Dreadlords. They used that to reach the other rivals, Order and Disorder.

Also: The Void did anticipate it.

-Il’gynoth

Similar to the titans, the naaru and their keepers are singular in purpose. Their adherence to a linear path is an obvious shortcoming.

They savor nothing more than being proved right, so if they believe they have converted one of us to their precious Light, they will trust that agent implicitly.

Lothraxion is an infiltrated agent of Death among the Light.

The adherents to Life are the most insidious of opponents, perhaps because their nature is so antithetical to our own.

Still, we learned much from observing the link between their plane and Ardenweald, and we have high confidence that a vulnerability has been identified.

Our operative has already gained the trust of her target.

Now this one is tricky. I have no idea which Dreadlord or Vampire-adjacent creature has the trust of a being of Life. If anyone knows what this could be about, please let us know!

And as previously discussed, our position within the plane of Disorder is proceeding flawlessly. Consuming fel energy is not a pleasant process, but a necessary one.

The deception you have architected will bear fruit in the ages to come.

Dreadlords were not loyal to the Legion either. It was all deception. They didn’t even like Fel.

This also explains why Varimathras was giving us Shadowlands spoilers in Antorus. He served Denathrius, an Ally of the Jailer, an Ally of Sylvanas. So he knew what was going on.

That’s all good but that didn’t include Jaina so I will have to doubt.

One word and person Shaw

Jaina doesn’t like fel. Jaina is a dreadlord. I knew it all along.

“sired” That doesn’t really mean a person but more of an action or outcome.

Dang Mortis, I went for lunch and you beat me to it :joy:

Order, Shadow, Life, Light, Disorder.
The Dreadlords serve Death, and there is a Master among them.

I think Blizzard is foreshadowing the next expansion quite hard here.
SUper HYpe.

but this thread was first

did I just witness a “my post is better” on gd?

Meh it doesn’t matter who was first. I didn’t even notice that thread given that it was posted 11 hours ago, so as long as something this exciting gets people talking and gets them excited, it’s all fine.

I mean, if we get super technical about it, wowhead was first :joy:

Good ol’ Varimathras. Still playing 8D chess while we are all playing checkers with uno cards.

So it is true that all the story plots are connected ,interesting.

They’re so clever it hurts. My head. So you have this one race of beings going around and manipulating practically everyone else in the universe. To what end? I hope all of this elaborate planning isn’t wasted on a really weak payoff.

They serve death so it comes to reason that they want the death of the whole universe, or at least of all life in it. It’s that simple really, and that’s okay too.

Edit: My only concern would be that, it makes it seem like they’re the penultimate threat we can ever face. Because what can you possibly come up with that’s a bigger threat than something that wants death to win over all other forces. So what does that leave for the future of WoW?

Holy hell.

Dreadlords just became one of the most fascinating elements of WoW lore.

Obviously Mylune.

I chuckeled. Still, isn’t this pretty much what was up on Wowhead?

Do it Blizzard. Give me an excuse to hang with Lothraxion again.

dreadlords were always cool and i’ve never bought an idea of “good” light dreadlord

Death hurts Fel and Light which hurt each other and the Void.

The only reason Void does not hurt Death is because it allows Death to work alongside it. Light only works with Death if it’s through a bargain and Zovaal through Lothraxion is the one who struck a bargain with the Light not the other Eternal Ones.

The Maw is allied with the Light while the other Covenants are opposed to the Light…

The Dark Star’s association with Death indicates that Lothraxion made his move against the Naaru the second he joined using the Dreadlords’ bargain with the Void to convert the dying Naaru into an entry point for the Void Lords.

The uniqueness of L’ura compared to other Void Naaru indicates that she was genuinely corrupted by the Void and not brought to death and used as a Void Portal by the Maw.

I didn’t even see that post before posting this one lol

My guess is the Night Warrior couple. I don’t think it’s Elune empowering them but death itself.

While it can be used in that manner, in this case the context of “sired” in this sentence refers to the creation of life, procreation. Whoever sired them made them for the purpose of infiltration and manipulation, which indeed implies the dreadlords.

PS: Are you feeling better? Sorry about the other day.
