First thoughts?

It’s boring. These are the types of quests I don’t even bother to read while playing through a zone. I don’t want to be negative all the time, but this story so far is soo uninspiring.

From a lore perspective, I think it’s neat that the Tuskarr worship Loa, or at the very least Gral, I think most seafearing civilizations probably have a story about Gral. That’s the most interesting bit.

As always it seems like the art team really carries every expansion, and the story team is letting the whole team down.

The art team makes a beautiful structure with interesting decor.

The music team makes beautiful music.

The story team takes it all in and says:

“Lets find a way to connect this to Jaina.”

“Oh that is a cool staff! Write a legend about how it isnt as good as Jaina’s staff.”

“This art might fit the Horde well, but we better delete it - we cant give the Horde something unless we give it to the Alliance, too.”

From my understanding Gral appearing is standard for the Chieftain funeral. Which means, while everyone else couldn’t reach the Dragon Isles, Gral never had an issue.

As someone who often chooses Legion to level alts, it’s cool to see grandpa Senegos back- and in a troll form, no less!

Wasn’t Gral missing for a bit? maybe he got trapped there during the Sundering? which would mean that the Dragon Isles ‘woke up’ around the time Sargeras stabbed the planet.

They always have worshiped loa. A Northrend quest to talk to one of their sea gods has her say “are the Drakkari coming to kill me like they have the others?” or something like that.

I’m hopeful that the gnolls using decay magic will be a way to introduce it in preparation for Galakrond. I’d much rather Galakrond’s still-unexplained mutations and necromancy be tied to that instead of some stupid evil life pantheon or something like that.

Hungry dragon who got infected with decay magic and so his hunger couldn’t be sated is way more interesting than cosmic BS.

This kind of sounds like Legion questing. “Go to X zone, accomplish Y task, do that 3 more times, then do World Quests until you decide to unsub!”
