(Spoiler maybe?) Ashbringer and Jailer/Runecarver items

So the Ashbringer was basically a shard of a Naaru and Magni’s sad feelings forged together into a blade, and it had the power to blow Frosmourne into pieces. (While Tirion was infused with Light mojo)

So can we assume the Ashbringer, while wielded by a Powerful Paladin, like Tirion was, is stronger than the Runecarver/Jailer/Maw powerhouse items?

Imagine if someone likeTuralyon holds thea purified Ashbringer, he would wipe the Maw out?

Also, If Magni have the skills to forge such a blade, like forge literal Feelings AND Naaru guts into a Blade, can we assume Magni can be near Runecarner’s weaponsmithing skills? Could he forge another Ashbringer level weapon?

We Know the Ashbringer is out there somewhere, maybe i can still be used/purified?

That is not the ashbringer.

Os the fatebringer, a Sword that morgraine commissioned to look like the Ashbringer.

The ashbringer is sitting on the banks of unnamed paladin hero (or lady Liadrinn, who knows)

Oh, my mistake then. But still, the original Sword still exists, won’t change the thought that much

It exists but it lost its power absorbing the corruption of Sargeras’ sword

Still. Xalatath eventually woke up and recovered its powers.

Artifacts are not done.

And the Ashbringer has a very good history of being powered up by external forces.

The ashbringer can be brought back into action in the future, for sure.

Yes but currently it is ineffective, it is just a large sword. Until it recovers some spark of Holy light to revive it we might never see its return To prominence.

Frostreaper and Icebringer should really come back into the story for Shadowlands.

I don’t think it was ever confirmed that the Light artifact used as the basis for Ashbringer was a Naaru shard, just heavily speculated to be, so keep that in mind. Magni was also in a uniquely foul mood when he forged it, I don’t know that he could easily replicate that sort of emotion on command.

Felo’melorn was able to hold fast against Frostmourne after Kael’thas had it reforged. I would think that it’s possible for Azerothians to forge new weapons that can counter powerhouse items like Frostmourne if not outright break them, but it’s probably not easy to do.

A side note: do remember that the Ashbringer has the ability to eat souls under certain circumstances, and also to hold on to echoes of memories from people who’ve wielded it, even when purified. The Ashbringer is a bit creepy, and after it was used to contain Sargeras’ sword, it probably shouldn’t be used without a very thorough cleansing to make sure it won’t become corrupted again.

It would have to be a fallen naaru piece then, cause fallen naarus are known to draw souls into them to rebuild their power bringing them back into holy.

Was it ever confirmed if the corrupted crystal that was purified and made into Ashbringer was from a void-Naaru?

That was the plan although we never stated it explicitly.

The Jailer is probably trying to turn Anduin into a weapon because the Light is definitely stronger than Death

Thank you, I hadn’t seen that before. It made sense to me, but I hadn’t ever seen any source beyond fan speculation.

Or probably trying to use anduins strong connection to the light as a weapon, cause he really shouldn’t be allot to call it in the maw.

As Frostmourne.
