So did I miss something? Did the soul scribe actually hear K’aresh or did Xal use her powers to manipulate the Soul Scribe into hearing it? We know she can make people hear whispers and we know the void causes voices in one’s head.

Xal manipulated her. He invented the crisis and provided them with the solution, made an agreement with both sides, and will make Alleria and Locus Wlaker fools again.
Wouldn’t say xal invented the crisis, just monopolised the solution and no one else had any choice

Well I know she manipulated them but I mean like literally using magic to make her hear a voice that actually isn’t there or is K’aresh partly alive

It does look like there is still something at the core of the planet, as wreathed in Void as it is. And Xal, for all her manipulations, hasn’t been the type to outright lie about things. She’ll tell a half-truth and let you fill in the gaps yourself, which usually sets you up for your own downfall. See Ansurek and Galleywix.

Not sure myself. That sort of manipulation - faking the voice of K’aresh - is the bread-and-butter of Xal’atath AND the Void. And Xal’atath may not outright lie, but she is selfish AND deceitful, and we’'d be fools to trust her.
The only reasons I consider otherwise are the current story is trending down a more optimistic path AND if there was a voice of K’aresh, tapping into that would benefit Xal’atath.
The radiant song is a manipulation anyway, planets don’t talk. He probably heard a void god. I wonder what Magni heard when he heard “Azeroth” probably a sleeping titan
