I agree with this, I hate when people bring up the space goats and Elves and think they should be the best at everything just because of age. Itâs fine that heâs one of the best rangers around I just hate the character himself + the plot armor and BS his writer gives him.
If this is the case it should have been foreshadowed and eluded to before this, show donât tell is rule number one of writing.
Resurrection is not an easy thing in the story. They make a big deal out of it every time itâs even attempted.

I think Sylvâs deal in Legion was meant to be that foreshadowing, but I still pretty much agree with you.
The writers seem to dislike resurrecting characters as alive rather than reanimating them as undead. The few cases I can think of were either the resurrection of very minor characters, or the âauto-resurrectionâ of demigods and similar entities.
Plot armor, and real bad armor at that. Nathanosâ survival felt grating and killing the valkyr just didnât satisfy.
One can only hope that actv switches things around and puts others in charge of things. This is pure garbage, even the nightelf eyes is only limited to one skin color.

You do know what the Valâkyr are, right? They are the ones who bring us back to life every time we die in game (spirit healers)⌠they hold a special place that even the Likes of Bwansamdi donât hold, in that they have the ability to cross the barrier between the normal world and the shadowlands (aka the place where the Spirit goes when you die) and have the ability to bring spirits across that barrier.
This is something as central to the nature of the Valâkyr as burning is to a Fire Elmental.
Ignoring the insta-lose NE factor, this fight should have challenged or even surpassed most racial leaders let alone their underling. You have a 10,000 year veteran fighting someone with the comparative combat experience of a goldfish while juiced up on Eluneâs dark side kool-aid. There isnât many racial leaders I would give decent odds for that fight be it Horde or Alliance.
But hey, Forsaken so even the bootlicks get plot-armor to rival the power of literal gods. Go figure.
In the cutscene you see Genn and others there , but are no were in the scenario. Genn could have prevented the raising but again writers are to blame for garbage.
Doesnât matter, Elune being the one true god could have easily vaporized them along with Nathanos and all the rest of the Horde with a snap of the fingers through Tyrande.
At this point Iâm just letting pure hate and bitterness talk. Thereâs just no point in anything anymore.
Thinking about it, this isnât an argument worth having with someone who canât understand the difference between creating an undead, and making someone alive again.
Yet none of this happens, because nightelves canât really get a win. The nightwarrior isnât a win when you have nightelves being raised. Horde gain more units.
