Spoiler - How did Nathanos Blightcaller survive?

So I just finished the new Tyrande quest line, and I just wanted to ask, genuinely, HOW DID NATHANOS BLIGHTCALLER SURVIVE? He literally just fought against the incarnation of the vengeance of Elune, and he escaped, even if a bit beaten up? I just don’t get it. Is there some kind of lore reason behind it? Is he more than just another forsaken with a bow? What is this?

Plot Armour, it’s all Horde Leaders have left against the Alliance god heroes.

If you had any idea how bad it actually was before the changes were made.

But yeah, Horde heroes get inexplicable powerups and chances.
I loved how silently both Malfurion waited until they made their escape.

RIVETING.

Sylvanas fan boys protected him. For real. I think that they eventually want to kill him, but can’t. If sylvanas or any of her lackies get hurt or dies, they start crying and complaining.

You can just tell that they wanted to kill him by Tyrande, but couldn’t.

Blizzard just can’t win.

How does a self-insert character of the story devs survive a story they write for the behest of the faction they prefer? Iunno, magic or something.

Sure they can, they can mine salt from Forsaken players like they did when WotF was nerfed in Wrath.

Nathanos, the mighty and allpowerful god that he is, can not be brought to his end by Tyrande’s paltry efforts

We all live and die at his behest, Nathanos is endless, Nathanos is eternal.
Foolish of you to believe that this ‘night warrior’ a mere servant of a lesser god, could put an end to Nathanos’ glorious reign.

Somebody has to father Sylvanas’ undead babies.

There are times Nathanos reminds me of Black Adder

Eventually, there will be a Scooby Doo-like reveal where Nathanos takes off his mask and we find out he has actually been Elune all this time.

You better delete this before blizzard finds out you have spoiled the end of BFA

He’s acerbic but he’s not funny like Black Adder.

And so Brave Sir Nathanos bravely ran away!
He bravely ran away, away!

I’m not a fan of the story so far… but how is Nathanos a self-insert character when he’s been around since the beginning (of WoW) and given backstory that predates the Second War?

It isn’t like he is one of the Void Elves, who were pulled out of thin air for reasons…

I think it would require Illidan, Tyrande and Malf to beat Nathanos, 2 is just not enough.

No force on the face of our planet Azeroth could put down Nathanos he is too powerful

He shall meet his demise when he sees fit to muse us by playing dead

Ever since Nathanos got his face lift he’s been a self-insert of one of the devs, the one who wrote the story about him getting his facelift, and that dev is a diehard forsaken fan. Go figure we have stories like this Darkshore crud with him at the helm.
