Splitting Camps

Something is different about the mob behavior. Since the game launched, you could split a camp of multiple mobs by hitting 1 mob and backing up until the rest of the mobs lose aggro and break off.

Now instead of breaking off, all the mobs keep coming perpetually. I need you people to fix this failure so that I can get back to soloing again.

You’re welcome!

I do not have the same experience as you in this regard.

You are backing up too far.

You’re able to break off the camps. I am able to do this just fine.

I’m able to do this just fine on my warlock.

Yes.

I’ve noticed the same thing. It’s exactly like you explain, you used to be able to just back up and the other mobs would de-aggro. This no longer happens. They will continue to chase you as long as you have aggro on the mob you’re attacking.

Ranged pulling works better.

Lol backing up too far you say? Should I back up a little closer and that will make the mobs break off?

It’s obvious you don’t have the same experience as me, Novice. Let’s reserve comments for people that know what they’re talking about.

You’re welcome!

Blizzard “fixed” mob leashing in October".

As opposed to what, son? LOL.

Let’s put a stop to Millennials contributing to this very important thread, please. What are these people trying to say?

Let me draw a mental picture. If you pull a camp of 5 mobs by hitting 1 of the mobs, you should be able to back up while hitting only 1 mob which should cause said mob to keep following you while the other 4 break off after a set distance.

Now like Millennial zombies, they just keep following you as if you’re passing out free healthcare or promising to raise the minimum wage. This isn’t how it’s supposed to work in game or in life.

YOU’RE WELCOME!

As if it wasn’t already obvious you were trolling you went and tried too hard.

Thanks, buddy.

That’s not how it worked back in the good old days when forum posters actually made constructive contributions instead of just talking for the sake of talking. Lol. Millennials ruin everything and surely it was some Millennials on the dev team that ruined this feature.

Your method does work in the current game too, I just tried it on a level 10 alt.

OOF.

What is truly sad is that OP really thinks he is clever in this thread. Report and move on, friends.

It works on some groups, but since the hotfix on the 22nd of October it works on far fewer groups of mobs. Go level an alliance warrior and and try to kite mobs in Westfall. You have to make sure you have room to back away until the original mob is dead and then enough room to back away until the three other mobs finally stop beating on you.
