Catch up mechanic not working. This is not an issue with the quest Power Unified. My character Cyroablation has been behind by one, in obtaining Splintered Spark of Shadowflame because of missing a week due to illness. I have done all the content catch up mechanics for 2 weeks now and still can not catch up on the Splintered Spark of Shadowflame. I think the system may be bugged and the system is assuming that character has the correct number of splintered spark of the shadowflame, when in fact he is one behind.
i would suggest doing some content to get your catchup half spark on tuesday, then doing the niffen rep quest after that to get the other guaranteed to make your 4th spark
does anyone know what happens if you fall behind on the weekly on your main character? Like am i eligible for that half-spark the next week later, or am i permanently 1/2 spark behind?

There is supposed to be a catch up mechanic, that allows the splintered spark to drop off raid bosses, Mythic runs and so on. I have seen people get sparks in raid however, my character is one spark behind and I have not gotten a mechanic drop of splintered spark in a month of doing all the catch up mechanics.
