Splinter of Atiesh Change Needed

Hello.

1 of the Splinter of Atiesh in my raid was looted to the wrong player.

This piece was sent to someone that actually already has the Atiesh on accident… so by definition of the item… the user shouldn’t have been able to loot the item… if he already has the Atiesh.

Can this be restored to Bortami.

I tried gm support and by email.

I read the policy that was probably handed to you guys, but was wondering if your company could actually talk to blizzard employees on this, I would be most thankful, this is the only item in classic that has this issue and its a huge issue that needs to be corrected for all users going forward.
I been trying to compile everything together to make a wonderful video on this for public awareness and would appreciate your feedback on this one.

I am just hoping for someone to realize what is the right thing to do for customer service response and not necessarily what the modern thing to do.

As keeping with Classic’s original team they really worked on a player to player individual issue per issue… and yes they have restored objects to players that have had something happen to them that is completely out of the players control.

This isn’t some type of boss mechanic… this isn’t some type of skill based challenge… this is literally… one singular person… distributing items and the mouse clicked the wrong person when trading a item.

Thank you for your time.

Hmm I think you need to edit this post and move it to Classic. Or maybe customer service?

Thank you Tovi!

The blues here are unable to move items as this isn’t a contact point for GMs.

A ticket would be the right way to go, but I don’t believe that this would be something that a GM will be able to help with in Classic.

The tools for Classic are greatly limited compared to Retail. So while you can certainly ask via a ticket (there is no e-mail option, so I’m not sure who you emailed), but I wouldn’t imagine that it’s something they’ll be able to do.

Edit: Looks like this got moved to the Classic General forums

Yeah its been a rather bad experience thus far…

The first person I spoke to on the GM team told me after reviewing the records… I sold the item in Shadowlands and not its not recoverable.

Its been a steady flow since then.

Is the splinter not tradeable? Why can’t the guy who got it just hand it to the person who was supposed to get it?

Most gear in raids was changed to be traded within a certain timeframe.

Splinters and the atiesh rod are not one of those items. If someone accidentally master loots a splinter to the wrong person it’s game over.

Yup, the madness event in ZG works the same way it’s kinda silly.

If It doesnt get resolved for me… then I hope it gets resolved for any future situations. Im just here to make sure a bad practice on this specific item is changed.

Nothings gonna change on the splinters, pay attention when master looting em.

Blizzard continues to lose millions of players, but new games are coming

Well… its always the little things that don’t seem like they matter, that do.

I had the same problem with a Splinter of Atiesh this week. I am the master looter for my guild, and I mis-looted a splinter to the wrong druid. It was an honest mistake, and I opened a ticket for it. The druid who received the splinter by mistake also opened a ticket. The GMs claimed that they could not do anything about it, and directed me to this forum to submit a feature request. I know for a fact that GMs can help with these issues. I made a similar mistake with loot back in November 2020 and the GMs were able to fix it. They can fix it, they just choose not to for whatever reason.
We’re at the end of Classic. TBC will be out soon, and there will be limited opportunities to return to Naxxramas and get the last few splinters we’ll need to finish her Atiesh. Blizzard can fix this issue, and it is very disappointing that they won’t.

Its because the actual people that make the changes are at blizzard… and 90% of the customer service workers you are dealing with are hired out by a 3rd party company.

They are given scripts and how to approach every issue.

Don’t let them give you the “keeping with the classic experience” nonsense as well. I’ve had issues like this in vanilla… and if itwas the actual game limitation or accident based on the game mechanics in this regard… it was fixed every time.

Blizzard original wow team wouldn’t fix issues where people lost something due to a direct fight in game such as no defined loot rules… etc.

When restoring a item that was miss handled by one player that affected another… that the other has 0 control over…they would get involved because back then they knew the value of understanding situational issues. Current blizzard doesn’t understand if it doesn’t make money it doesn’t matter… they literally are turning TBC into the retail mess that shadowlands is (that I point out is tanking).

No, customer support doesn’t have tools for that anymore.

Tanking in shadowlands is amazing

The raids are like always top notch… dungeons are like top notch… every other aspect of garbage though.

Its because its over monetized.

Oh and the biggest thing is its not focused on guild interactions and the necessity to push with others.

They did it for me just this past November in Blackwing Lair. Legplates of the Fallen Crusader? I don’t remember the exact name of the item. Dropped from Firemaw iirc. I mis-handled those and they fixed it.

yes, because that item is allowed to be traded within raid.
