Spiteful and Incorporeal Have a Bad Synergy

First, I do not like Spiteful. That may be coloring my opinion, but I just think affixes that punish through inconvenience are bad. The other example would be quaking. Both easy affixes. But all they end up being is irritating and annoying.

But spiteful keeps you in combat. And thus if Incorp start spawning as you finish a pack, then the spiteful keep you in combat, so you have to play the incorp affix. Granted, isnt that big a deal, it is just irritating. The spiteful keeping you in combat and incorp spawning from spitefuls, shouldnt be a thing. But I dont see a good way to deal with it, other than how we do now… Or just remove spiteful.

Difficulty has nothing to do with it.

It’s 2 of the most annoying affixes jammed into one week.

what do you suggest to make m+ more interesting and more challenging without “inconvenient” affix

That is not the goal of these complaints. The goal is to flat out make M+ easier. GD has literally complained about every affix since Legion on the path to trying to get all of them removed.

GD doesn’t really want anything that might require more than mindlessly aoeing target dummies.

Sanguine used to be a push week. Raging and Bolstering used to be push weeks.

Id rather they spawn at the end of spiteful going down. Half the time you dont even have to deal with Incorporeal. Soon as combat ends the poof. And the respawn timer resets making it so you dont have to worry about them at the beginning of the next big pull.

And i like spiteful because it allows me to stack resources going into the next pull as well

/shrug ymmv

This week is a cake walk compared to last and people still act like it’s the worst.

It’s already fun/interesting. Infinite scaling handles the difficulty aspect.

They don’t need to do anything, just let dungeons be dungeons.

Affixes are not suppose to be fun but there to annoy you. So there really isn’t a problem.

If you are answering me personally I liked most of the kiss/curse affixes.
Shrouded, Awakened, Tormented and Encrypted. I hated prideful.

They felt like they added to the dungeon and changed the dungeon’s route or pulls.

Other affixes like Volcanic, Entangling, Afflicted, and Incorporeal (outside of what I mentioned) are ok. They add a little challenge, but are not irritating.

Affixes that limit pull size. Bolstering/Spiteful, to a lesser extend bursting, just make an unfun playstyle. The pull size will be naturally limited due to multiplicative scaling of key level.

Affixes like Quaking and Sanguine, again are just irritating and unfun. Quaking just makes casters stop casting. Effectively just interrupting spell casts. And sanguine is either a non affix in open dungeons and just a pain in tighter dungeons. And with a lot of the casters that just plant and chain cast, them being in a sanguine is a pain and requires a knock.

Prideful was a bad affix in my opinion, due to how strict it made routes and pulls. The dungeons had to largely be pulled in a super precise way to get the prideful spawns at the right time. And messing up a pull, really messed up the whole key.

If I had to say what affixes I like. They are largely the ones that reward you for playing them well.

Make scaling higher and remove affixes? Except maybe a seasonal

Spiteful is annoying but it’s nonexistent during boss encounters, which is a big deal for something like atal’dazar (yazma in particular).

Other affix is fine if people paid attention to it. I could literally cake walk my way through this week on my BDK if it wasn’t for that one affix. I can’t handle two of those spawns. Lots of open areas in this dungeon pool too, so not many corners to run behind.

ToT is very linear. Dawn dungeons are wide open spaces. Atal is wide open, DHT is linear with minimal corners. Etc.

BRH is good for it.
