I don’t know about outrage, it’s more of a silly change… whats the point? Oh you got spit on virtually? Oh man… but some people have insanely thin skin and can’t take it… kinda like the losers that literally made an addon to spit on people for boosting.

No real difference, but dumb none the less.

Wow. Little did I think of how this emote truly hurt people, and I’m a toxic bigot for ever using this emote. Forgive me as I’m not woke enough yet.

Oh no, people have to construe the meaning of spitting on the ground being meant for the person you killed! Oh the humanity how will you crass degenerate people live with not being able to spit on people?

Also the people saying that it’s removed for thin skinned people, are a laugh. Look at the complete meltdowns people are having over this. We all can clearly see who doesn’t have thick skin in this situation.

Most people who use /spit are themselves the most “offended” by it. So what could be positive about it? Reading their rage-filled reply when my weakaura auto /spits right back at them lol. I find it funny that they had no problems using /spit on me, but when my weakaura spits back, often times without me even noticing I got spat on in the first place because my main chat window ONLY shows guild chat & whispers and nothing else, they get so upset and start cursing me lmao. It gives me a chuckle knowing that their attempt to bother me, instead puts a smile on my face knowing someone who truly deserves a /spit got one.

woooow you’re REALLLLLLLY fragile aren’t you, my good gawd

Always a part of WoW and should stay in game, and if you don’t like it just turn off EMOTES.

I wonder how these people would have dealt with getting urinated on. I remember playing the Age of Conan mmo way back in the day, and you could whip out your character’s junk, and piss on people.

that’s amazing lol

It might get you a suspension now…since doing so can very reasonably seen as circumventing the measures taken to prevent that sort of behavior.

People rarely get banned for using racial slurs, but they are going to ban or suspend somebody for doing /em spit, lol, ok.

I can do much worse than spit in /em

Are any other emotes broken in the same way? If they are, I’ll at least consider this isn’t intentional.

Is targeted /lick also broken? or /cheer? or /thank?

I get it’s unlikely in most circumstances, but so are forced name changes until you get the right combination of angry player and apathetic csr (gm). Point being, whereas before it was literally in the game (supported), now counter-measures have (ostensibly) been taken to stop it, and in order to continue, you need to take specific steps to circumvent it.

It’s just like the way people circumvent language filters on these boards…it’s rarely enforced, but now, it can happen.

“Don’t worry, guys. They didn’t intend to take it out. They are just breaking everything because they are screwing around with game files and don’t know what they’re doing!” And that’s a good thing, I guess.

And YOU!

How ridiculous that you actually try to classify an emote as positive or negative. It is just that! An emote!
And who are you to say whom it is used by and how ‘often’?

It is clear to me that your underdeveloped brain cannot comprehend toxicity and maturity to be opposite sides of the same coin!

I would gladly toss that coin at your dense head but ive already entertained the idea of wrapping all of your silly threads together and strangling you with it!

I /spit in your general direction!

What positive or neutral scenario does /rude serve in the game?

No one’s talking to the furrys here.

Do other emotes work on players? It’s not a bug. It just may have screwed up other things in the process.

Anyway, the removal is completely pointless. Just goes to show again Blizzard worries about all the wrong things.
