Spirit Tap doesn't proc in groups all that much?

I had trouble with mana in dungeons, so I put 5 points into Spirit Tap, in the shadow tree, and my other points are in Holy.

It’s very nice if I’m solo-killing mobs alone.

However, I notice it doesn’t proc all that often when I’m in groups and in dungeons. I went through a whole dungeon and Spirit Tap only activated about 3-4 times.

Is this how it’s supposed to be?

I have also experienced this. I wonder if it had to do with getting the killing blow.

I think it is. I was experimenting in Razorfen Kraul today. It proc’ed a few times with my wand, when an enemy died.

You only get Spirit Tap if you land the killing blow.
